This is what happens when two separate damage events occur at the same time. You also see it sometimes when you use Natsu A:6, or when you hit someone after performing a GI against an airborne opponent. It will also happen with a lot of Viola's combos, when the orb connects at exactly the same time as your follow-up attack.I also found this practice mode "glitch" with the damage adding system. it's a pretty minor glitch, but looks funny / strange none the less.

I was repelling Algol's A+B attacks in training with Leixia 44B+K. I found I could do it pretty easily with just one orb on screen, but with multiple orbs it would rarely, if ever, work, unless I repelled other orbs with normal GI first, so that there was only one red orb (repelled orbs become blue).
I can't record this stuff myself, I wonder if some skilled practitioner such as CheeseOfTheDay would consider having a go? It seemed like the GI-able hitbox of the orbs was shifted when there are multiple orbs on screen, but it could equally just be my bad timing.

5. This last one isn't a glitch per say but what the hell is the point of c3a in the neutral game doing 42 damage for an easy to jg it auto gi situation on the second hit. Color me mindfucked when c2a leads to 58 and is safe.
Numbers 1, 2 and 4 are really major bugs as it means she cant function with some serious random shyt being in the way of you winning.
So I fell in love with Hilde. I attempted to main her until I finally got pissed off with all the ridiculous bugs surrounding the character. She needs to be patched asap.
1. For some reason in this game Hilde's throws can be stepped which is a huge random problem. I have over 5000 matches due to exploring multiple characters during character crisis before I finally settled on a main. I have never seen this happen in this game until I started using Hilde either as a spectator or player. This happened with zas and someone else in sc4 but its inexcusable in this game.
2. If you gi into ce with Hilde and the opponent re-gi's in reaction to the ce, it will miss causing you to blow and entire 1.5 bars.
3. Her super whiffs up close but I already know this one is known, as well as her super scaling from 95 to 68 if the last hit is by wall.
4. 3ba/3bbe has some wonky whiff properties both on the first hit during whiff punishment and the second hit just flat out missing randomly.
