Ivy Combos & Tech Traps discussion

Why is this women so picky XD. Well I suppose she can get away with it^^
I hope that at least CH 4K guarantees a wallsplat on every char. I only tested it on NM Yoshi and Siegfried, since they're the chars I mostly play against. Going later to the lab to confirm it...

Editt: Tried 4K on all chars. The consistent off the 4K w! is the only factor that differs between the chars. CH 4K seems to w! the full time on every char if you push them as near as possible against the wall.
 
For lulz-
214A, w!, CS for roughly 200 dmg.
I can't get this to work....

Shouldn't this be possible?
6B8BE W! 66B BE W! CS/CE?
Can't get it to work but if 214A W! CS works then I might do something wrong.

Edit: It seems that it matters how the wall structre is. If it's a wall that goes straight up 66B BE will launch higher making grabs doable. 6B+K is also possible to reset the combo and go for another 3b/1b BE/CE mix-up.

4K w! 3B w! 6b+K does 90 damage and is your meterless option.
 
VS BT'ed opponent: CH 66B BE(w!). 44B, B(w!). iCS.

Most possible clean hits in a combo(I think for the whole game): CH 2A+B(CleanHit). 6B8 BE(CleanHit)(w!). 6(dash forward). 2A+B(CleanHit). 6B8 BE(CleanHit)(w!). 6(dash forward). 2A+B(CleanHit). 6B8 BE(CleanHit).
6 CleanHits in one combo lol. Not exactly sure how much damage though.

6B8BE w!, 66B BE w!, CS_CE never guarantees a CS_CE_SS_grab, cuz the w! doesn't wallspat high enough.
The altitude of the 66B BE w! also depends on the distance from where you launched your opponent on to the wall; and I even think it's character specific, not sure though (I still need to confirm this).
214A w! iCS isn't only wall dependant, it also matters from which distant you wallsplatted your opponent. If your not sure the iCS_CE is going to hit, go for 214A w!, dash, 2A+B, 6B8 BE, 7B+K, 6B8 (223 dmg) or 214A w!, dash, 2A+B, 6B8 BE, 3B+K,3B+K (215 dmg) if you intend to keep him near the wall. I once did the first combo as a whiff punish against a whiffed NM CE (the guy I played rage-quitted halfway through the combo though), so I think it's usable during a real match.

4K w! 3B w! 6b+K does 90 damage and is your meterless option.

A shame the w! of 4K is character specific without CH

Edit: Most of the time the 66B BE doesn't w! after 6B8 BE The 66B BE w! only connects to a grab_SS_CS_CE if he's BT wallspated before the 66B BE. and high enoug.
Edit 2: 6B8 BE,66B BE w!, iCS does works, just confirmed it.
 
For everyone, who has been using 66B BE, 6B8 as a wall combo ender after 6B8 BE and used up his two wallspatts. Dash 3B, 6B8 does the job too. The difference in dmg is not noticeacble and you save up 25% meter.

In case you still need help with it WhYYZ-

Again it isn't the most useful thing since it is so situational but its still pretty wicked if you can pull it off. On counter hit I've gotten between 213 and 233 dmg and I'm assuming the 233 is with a clean hit. Also if it hits when the opponent is backturned or sideways it'll do a bit more.
 
I think I forgot to mention this.

FC 1B~G~8A+B(B) is actually a combo. A difficult one, but I tested it and it cannot be escaped (unless again it's character specific, I tested Ivy vs Ivy). The RO potential is crazy, but it's really hard to time 8A+B correctly.

Having trouble getting this, I've landed it a few times in training but am not sure how quite yet. Do you use a full quickstep (66) or just a normal step (6)?
 
I just go for the normal step (6). Don't cancel the forward step, let Ivy do the full step; with this you should be able to consistently land the 3B. Hope this helped^^

Been trying that CS after 66B BE w! and it is a pain in the ass. I can get it sometimes but it seems to be a very specific distance from the wall that this will actually work. Not really sure if it is worth the effort.

Roughly 199 dmg on normal hit. Haven't had the patience to try it again on counter hit.



* Still can't get that 6 3B after the 6B8BE w!. :(

I can't for the life of me get it to work on Leixia... Getting it to work on Ivy was relatively easy. Looks like we can add this to the long list of Ivy character specifics.

Yeah I can't get it consistently at all. Also who were you testing it on cuz Leixia doesn't like to get caught by this at all.

Still can't get that stupid 6 3B . X(
