something about that scan screams "fake" to me

the scan looks very old, isn't it possible this was put out before the location tests even started? also, Mature? really? of all people? FISHY...
 
Mature IS a pretty weird addition, but it seems like a lot of work to go to putting together a well done fake just to annoy like 30 Mature fanboys.
 
I dunno, I just find it hard to believe they are actually gonna have 4 console only characters when they were having such a hard time making the character sprites within the given timeframe. Terry/iori/kyo only have one super each just for an example (yet Ash has THREE)

XD yeah kill bill mature ^^ hope Kula and maxima will be there to soon -.- if not then im gonna send Godzilla over SNK Japan -.-
 
Because there is very little time between now and console release, they would've hyped Kula/Maxima the way they did Mature/Liz in thier commercial if they were going to be in the game, especially Kula, haha. The 2D graphic work in this game is VERY labor intensive, hand drawn over 3D models, there is simply no way they would look good enough to be in the game along with the others.
 
also the fact that there was promo art for Mai and K and then we randomly get Elisabeth and Mature announced instead. who knows what they are doing
 
Personally I think Elizabeth and Mature are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more interesting characters than K and Mai would have been in 12

So I'm not complaining about them not appearing at all
 
The had some K/Mai promo art right after the arcade release (or around that time) which made people think they would be the console exclusive characters. I'll try to find the pic but not exactly sure where it is.

I'm happy Liz got in because I've liked her since she showed up in XI (used her as leader) even though she sucked. She was in promo art even before the location tests so I kinda thought she would show up.

notice the original source for the art is not a KOF12 site specifically, even if it is the same artist who does the KOF12 artwork. I see maxima and blue mary there too. they must have done the art ahead of time but the actual characters for the game aren't ready. people saw the art (myself included) and made too big of an assumption
 
From what I understand, the K' and Mai art was the result of a poll SNK put up "Which two characters would like to have portraits done in the KOFXII style?" I don't think we'll be getting either of those characters, but SNK can be damn sure to put em in the next installment. Thank god the new characters help balance out the sausage fest.

Also as far as Mature goes, remember Iori fucked her up pretty good so it's no surprise she's in a fully clothed outfit probably to hide all the scars he inflicted (which conveniently avoided the cleavage apparently lol).

God knows how Vice looks, too. I really hope SNK didn't kill her off like they did with Geese and Shermie :(
