This really should be renamed the "The Leixia/Kayane thread".

That girl is her spitting image.

There's some truth to that. Being Chinese, I can attest that we aren't exactly towering over people, especially further west.
 
Michelle Ruff isnt who I imagined to do Leixia's voice, for this character I expected a cuter sounding one. Im not too happy with this. I think judging by Leixia's facial expressions, she should be more innocent and child-like.
 
As someone who hasn't paid much attention to the players of the SC scene (there's nothing in my area unfortunately), how is Leixia like Kayane?
 
So if her brother, Lexian, is also the presumed son of Kilik, does that mean he'll fight like Kilik, too? Kinda like they did with Leixia and her mom...
 
Yes, thank you! She does sound quite different than I imagined, but her voice does fit...sort of.
She doesn't seem like she can do much, though.. All of her launchers are, like, half-height, so.. :|

lol I see what you mean. Video games were never very accurate when it comes to things like these. She looks more like 5'2.
 
Leixia seems really good to me. not only do i like all of her new attacks, there also seem lots of mindgames involved.

and as a chinese swordplayer i can say that her moves make so much more sense than xianghua's ever did. X had many broadsword moves in her moveset which would have cut her open IRL. but her daughter's really keeping it real and moves very precisely along the borders and possibilities of the chinese Jian sword. a delight to the martial artist's eye °u°

the only thing i didn't like was that she used still too many of X's moves and had X's stance to the point as well as her intro animations. but they'll fix that, i guess. she at this point seems admittedly slow but i'm sure she'll make up for that in some respect. or they'll speed her up altogether...

as for maxi: remember that X and Maxi were friends long ago, so she might have grown up with him in some way, too.

X always being at least secondary in my list, her daughter sure is in there, too.
 
O.o I like Leixia a lot! Ok, she has most of X's moves, but she has some new one's as well! And they are so pretty!
I think I prefer her style over her mother's as she seems a bit more agressive, and not all haha lol like X. I'm a little concerned about her speed, but it's ok... Oh, and with this speed, they did well they excluded the SXS stance...

EDIT: I re-read Jaxel's review... According to Jaxel, her speed is not ok, she's slow... Hmm, I couldn't really tell for sure from the video, but Jaxel tried her and said she's slow, so her speed is an issue. How can a character whose style is supposed to be quick and dancy, be slow? I don't want Leixia to be much slower than Nightmare, lol...
And her lows? :/
