So far (besides the massive amount of disconnectors in the first days) online mode has been quite ok and better than SCIV to me.
While meeting some of the most f*cked up button mashers and spammers (all using Xiba) in between a lot of other have been using a variety of characters. Some matches even were so fun I was writing some positive lines for the guy who beat me. That was when the opponent was at about the same level as me, not overpowering me, not button mashing, not being a spammer. It doesn't really matter to me if my opponent only knows a small amount of effective moves, it's more about how he uses them.
Some are trying the same move 5 times, doesn't work, try another 5 times, doesn't work, another... they don't win, I do, but in this case it's no fun. Fortunately there have been more players who are not doing it this way, but try to use what they learned in Single Player or older Soul Calibur/Edge games.
When it comes to Ezio: I can't play him very good, I don't like him, but so far I lost only 1 of 7 fights where I used him. I do so because of the Achievement for 10 wins with him. One guy got enraged and send me a message saying I should go play Call of Duty if I want to shoot with crossbows all the time (I used the cross bow like 5 times in 3 rounds everytime he was walking away to get lots of space between us after knocking me down with one of three moves he knew with Patroklos)... so since then I'm also used to trolling now.
