I would like to put together a 24/7 live stream for SC5, the same way SRK has their 24/7 channel. Unfortunately to do this, I'm going to have to set up another streaming setup at my house. So in order to make sure I have enough funds for this I'm going to have a donation drive/raffle.

MarkMan from MadCatz has graciously gifted us a pair of these new sticks. So what I'm doing is, starting right now until next month, everyone who donates $5 will be entered into the raffle for one of these sticks. You are free to donate more and buy additional raffle entries at $5 each. The MSRP of these sticks is $159.99, so this is your chance to get one for cheap.

The arcade stick is for the Playstation3, but because of MarkMan's genious designs for these sticks, they are very easy to modify to make them multiplatform. MarkMan and MadCatz are in no way involved with this raffle, so do not send them emails with questions, or hold them responsible for any issues.

I'm putting together a spec for the stream box; not including the capture card and a console, I've got the price for the actual computer to less than $600. Of course, this assumes the onboard video of the Intel H67 is enough and I won't have to get a discreet video card since I wont be streaming any PC games.

If you guys have any recommendations for changes, let me know. Or if you know for a fact that the H67 onboard video isn't powerful enough and I MUST get a discreet video card, please let me know.

The problem is the mobo and case I want to get wont fit a discreet graphics card... if I need a discreet card, I will have to change those things up as well.

So that means for capture you are not doing dedicated PCI capture?

I'm using a BMIP... which is why I cant fit a discreet gfx card.

Being a mini ITX limits you indeed.
Is there a reason the case needs to be that size (other than the fact it IS a nice size lol)? I mean. I know some small HTPC cases that double as great dedicated server shells. Mainly because I have made a dedicated server using one before - even put two 20$ LED displays on it to give me up to date info on performance so I never had to hook up to a monitor and draw power.

It is not as if you are saving money: $64.99 will get you a case any size or shape with PSU's up to 550 watts. (but its not as if you have a reason to want that much power)

Just some food for thought. You know the deal better than I do and what you want to do with the PC. If you ever need the GFX card the offer will still stand. It's just been sitting here collecting dust - It was an interim card while my GTX 580 was in the purgatory that is the US postal service. Barely used it.

Hey.... I know you. You were on ubisoft's forums like 5 years ago... right? How the hell have you been? From the avatar pretty good I take it.

 

just wanna say that i received my SCV stick in the mail and after some testing (online casuals lol) i deem it as fucking awesome. that is all.

 

I haven't decided yet. Its a tough choice honestly. XBL is probably better suited for online, however the best players are on PSN.

Will you be able to switch between both systems, like certain days for XBL, and certain days for PSN? Will the stream be ready by Jaxeldome, or will that be stream at all? Not really a fightstick person, but I will donate money to a good cause.

 

I really hope this is on the xbl. Xbox junkie forever! I just can't stand the crappy online and how it disconnects constantly. Also I don't know where people are buying headsets these days... Smh.

The raffle is supposed to end on Launch Day of SC5... but there is some mailing issues and the sticks have not come in yet. So the raffle will end the day they come in, which could be Launch Day, could be after.
