I'm calling blasphemy on this fake science. All you're doing is encouraging players to think in terms of theory. One example: No way in hell Xianghua beats Sophitia. At least against me, which proves this chart is a waste of time. The only person who thinks so is Ramon. I hate you all.

Vints what I AM encouraging is discussion. The numbers I put down were Ramon's since he was the only one with a full list. Some seem a bit high but that's where discussion come in. And whoever crossed out Hilde and Algol like that don't do that again. A seperate chart will made later.

I disagree with a few of the Ivy ones. Algol is NOT in favor vs Ivy. I'd say sets is a lil above us and I thin other Ivy's would disagree with the sophie MU.

Oh, really? Take a look at ShenYuan's list. How come him and I both disagree with you? This conflict only proves how unimportant this is. There is no way to build facts around this, so we shouldn't act like there is.

I have to agree with Vints:

Sophie punishes harder than X does, plus sophie's mix-ups are better than X's. X can still mess with people with her gimmicks but AT BEST....it's 5:5

otherwise, it's 4:6 in favor of sophie.

ya Sophie beats X but some of the other stuff in that X list is ridiculous, especially 3:7 against Siegfried. X beats Siegfried, easy.
edit: lol, Sophie's mixups ARE NOT better than X's.

this list is absolutely ridiculous. X can match up well against every character in the game. I dont see her having
anything below a 4:6 except maybe against algol. X is underrated because of her nerfs so she cant be as reckless and deadly at the same time ala amy. She is definitely solidly in upper mid tier. Oh yea to me she is 7:3 against Tira, Talim, Sieg, Maxi and Raph

Has anyone seen MTFIGHTERS X? I've seen the power that is X, maybe it was a lack of knowledge from the other charecters but i deffinatly think X is better then people think. We need more discussion for sure.

Also vs Cervy seems right, it might be 5:5 though. Depending on both players abitlity sonce Cervy is execution heavy. With High Exection from cervy the matchup might be 7:3 in Cervys favor. But thats my opinion and I could easily be wrong since I dont have a good X to play.

I agree completely. Those numbers for X are incredibly pessemistic.


On the other hand, the numbers for Kilik and Setsuka look a bit inflated.


I am glad, though, that Enkindu more or less agrees with my Voldo numbers.

Siegfried is ass, Nightmare isn't. 4:6 is perfect. But I don't think any of this shit matters unless we're talking about one sided matchups, 4:6, 5:5 stuff is whatever. Now that the big 9:1 matchup having characters (Hilde and Algol) aren't in the picture, Rock and Mina are the only folks who stand out, as hot garbage against pretty much anyone.

That list looks perfectly fine to me, it just miss Astaroth, and it's 3:7 (favor Asta) =)

I feel that matchup charts are always in debate because of the kind of exposure different players receive against certain level of players with their respective characters.

Yeah Asta Vs X is 7:3 in asta's favour.

Well my list doesnt seem very pessimistic to me. I still think she is a competitive character.

Swordlord: : X vs sieg is REALLY hard.

Sieg does soooo much damage, and X cant punish him that hard.

SRSH mixup cant be punished hard enough to make sieg consider not applying it..

SRSH K up close, can make FC3B whiff, and good siegs can hitcheck fast enough to spin if the low is blocked to avoid the FC3B...

SRSH B only gives X a free throw attempt or 6B+K, to do the most damage... And thats really not in her favour.

Sieg dominates the distance game Vs Xianghua, with WSA and B6 and aGA.

Sieg 22_88B setups are hell agaisnt X, especially since sieg has a powerful SSH A+B which beats almost everything she has after 22_88B into SSH has been blocked.... She has to commit to jumping forward after its bblocked, or aim to step the 22_88B which is hard since it can to cover one side. And she cannot keep blocking. Once X gets her soul gauge red, those 3Bs are going to keep coming.

WSB is very good against X. SCH [A] clashes with AA when WSB is blocked.

So yeah i see that Sieg dominates X in the distance game and damage. And X can't really punish Sieg hard enough.

regarding sophie's mixup.

Sophie mixup is DAS B and throw.... hell you can DASB and 1K at range.

Xianghua's is FC3B/ step B and throw.

but sophie can choose to play safer and play with BB 1K.... and good sophies will mixup sidethrow and DASB.... and since Sophie dominates distance better, its more likely for her to land the mixup IMO.

shadowG: I am having great difficulty in seeing how X dominates tira/maxi/raph/talim, when knowledge about these characters at high level is really quite lacking. perhaps you could reason it out and convince us otherwise. And yeah, X is underrated.

Egg: Cervantes vs X is ARGUABLY even. but im still putting it in X's favour because X can contain cervy well... with box stepping at advantage, to bait for free step Bs to his weak side, and 66K.... and teleport to bait active defense is not so good because she has 44B... X's movement at step B range shuts down many of his evasive options when X is at advantage. The only wildcard there is iTP...

Talim vs X is even. Talim can do all kinds of things to stomp all over X's spacing game. The only match Talim has that comes to mind as really fucked up (worse than 6:4) is Algol. Maybe Ivy.
