Maxi 66B4 is better against Kilik wsB, 66B+K is harder to land and puts you at alot of disadvantage. this setup for this thread makes no sense, cause you can't dispute anything...but i wouldn't disagree with the 3:7 part. that's the only post i read tho.
ok, but 66B+K is a pretty readable move, 66B4 is extremely fast and will hit Kilik out of a quick duck into wsB. success rate is a million times higher with 66B4. Kilik 22B might hit IF Maxi does a followup B on block, and if Maxi doesn't he can just punish Kilik's 22B attempt... but watch
forces Kilik to use wsB at tip range outside of 66B4 range, but then becomes easier for Maxi to step.
66B+K is mainly for slide mixup and countering people who attack off wakeup. disclaimer, vidz are old. 66B4 beats alot of stuff. it's almost as good as Cervy FCA+B,BBBB!
When it comes to X vs Cervy or anyone vs Cervy these are the key points.
1. Don't be aggressive and constantly step G to the left
2. Wait for cervy to do a move. Block. Punish accordingly.
That's it. Plain and simple. And what I mean by that is all his best moves are unsafe. Examples iGDR= free backthrow, WR A -19, aB -18, 2A+B -14 (don't do any high move), BB -15, 33B -16, 3B -14, 1K -16 etc etc.
I will admit fc A+B GB is a great move but its -24 without the GB. So my reasons for putting X above Cervy is she has a better step, is far safer, more evasive, can punish him very well, and doesn't have to take as many risks as he does to get damage. So in practice AND theoretically X is better than cervy.
Character knowledge should be the main factor in deciding character matchup numbers. You should assume each person knows every single thing about the opponents character and decide the positives and negatives accordingly. I dont claim to know every single matchup with X to that extent but I do know anti cervy.
ya i figured he can block it or at least auto-GI it, but you're prolly right about having to auto-GI if the 22B is done fast enough. i only questioned you out of pure boredom cause I have nothin else to do...will prolly bother someone else sometime b4 5pm rolls around.sorry sword_lord, but you're wrong. Maxi cannot block 22B if he does it fast enough. Maxi has to go though 2 stances before he can cancel to guard, so if Kilik is fast enough, all Maxi can really do is time his WL perfectly.
I would just like to point out that not only is this one of the worst ways to veiw cervantes but i beleive the person i quoted here lost in the trashday tourney against a cervantes that was doing random iWR A's, lots of 3B's, and i think he got hit by about 1 iGDR a round. I just thought that was a horrible contradiction id point out.
As contradicting as that sounds....it's still a good basic strategy. It does neutralize some of Cervantes game.
Long story short, you have to take risks with Cervy, and if you neutralize his risks. Cervy's Fight could be a long uphill battle.
Besides...i'd shit on your cervy anyday :D
