Missing character discussion

This might be better then what they are doing now, at least the characters are back. A lot people like this game is because of the characters, in SCV, fans are mostly complaining about the characters too. So if we put some of the characters back, maybe more people would like to buy this game. By the way I didn't realize there are so many Cassandra fans, I always thought people like Sophitia more.

It's just that Cassandra had a less practical looking moveset. People like stuff that doesn't look practical and Sophitia is very practical. Gotta love butt attacks... sigh...

Also about the Talim thing, no one even bothered with Talim when she was in the game and suddenly there is a huge Talim fanbase now that she is gone. Same happened to Jun in Tekken. Everyone didn't play her when she was in Tekken because she was low tier and when they took her out they bitched like no tomorrow. I can't even see the logic in this. >.<
 
So we know that a lot of characters had been replaced and gone in SCV, and a lot of fans are pretty dissapointed about this. But does it matter to most people? Because there are still a lot of people buying this game, and does people injoyed SCV? Or people hated this game?

Enjoying the game or not is irrelevant to whether or not people want certain characters back. Even the underused characters were used by some people, such as Omega using Zasalamel (I loved Zas' style, too).

A lot of people are saying SCV is dying off, but it still gets tournament play so who knows. Only thing I know for sure is that it needs to start getting more support from its creators with DLC and patches.
 
Zasalamel is the way, the light, the truth, my one true main. Talim was my character in SCII and I thought she was stupidly fun to play as in IV, tiers be fucking damned, but my most readily available sparring partner at the time mained her, and I hate mirror matches so I never really got too serious with her in that game because I had Zasalamel.

I'm a man without a country in this game. Nightmare is... alright. Similar enough to Zasalamel at the core if you close your eyes hard enough, I suppose. Trade horribly unsafe CH setups for horribly unsafe everything, and it's basically the same. Spacing, guard crush, dumb ROs. But it really isn't my style. Oh how I wish those character DLC rumors turned out to be true. Zasalamel would be so awesome in this game.

I've gone through the whole roster man, and none of them really do it for me. I mained Zasalamel... which is to say I went black and now cannot go back.

Well, at least everyone spam the same move with Jun. Maybe because they were winning matches they missed the character. [?]

I've played Talim since SCII and if there's a reason why you don't see her at all online, is because it's very hard to win with her. For ex, I like her better than my second main Raph, but I used him more then her online because I wanted to win. And she was immensely popular amongst casuals. Her wiki page has the most likes in comparison to everyone else. Like quadruple. (Before it was announced she wasn't in the game). Her petition page alone has more likes than the DLC petition one. Which is kinda surprising as well.
(>*^*) And her moveset was fun!
 
I was honestly disappointed, and very sorely so when I found out that she wasn't in the latest installment. She was my second when I got Soul Calibur II, Nightmare being my main, and it was not only refreshing for me but jarring for my opponents when I would switch to such a contrasting style all of a sudden. Though she wasn't as much of a favorite for me in the later games, she was still a fun alternative to throw everyone off with.

Honestly, I think she had great flavor, and having her as a sort of third-party good guy in the story would have been fun, since I'm sure that she would have something to say about Soul Calibur's darker intentions, and likely would interfere. Lots of story potential there.
 
Not sure. I, honestly, think of Patroklos as too much of a douche to be much worth attaching to, though Pyrrha, I suppose, I can grow fond of. She's more of a deservingly pitied character. Patroklos was more pitiful than piteous.

I have always been. They get the proper "next generation" card that PS was intending on this game being, because suppose they made a next generation game and the two were not in it. You have any idea how clueless that could be? The next generation of Sophitia not in the game, after they put so much emphasis on them (especially Pyrrha) in the last two games.

But Bangoo and Riki *cough* are still not in the roster yet, so I guess that some "next generation" cards have not been thrown out yet.
 
I really, really wanna see some Bangoo. Have him fight in a way compared to Astaroth that's similar to Nightmare and Siegfried. Fast, strong, but a bit on the risk-taker side, making more wild swings and being more mobile, leaving himself open more often, etcetera.
