I said find someone else that they have a chance at beating. Clear enough for you?Reave, Please do elaborate and bless us with your vast unlimited knowledge. You do know everything there is to know about everything right?
You say that someone who hates spam isn't bad at the game. Very shortly after you said that it's better for them to play someone who doesn't spam so they'll have a chance at winning. According to you I'm not comprehending this when I say it's a contradiction.
So, how are these NOT contradicting statements?

I'm taking this saying, and I'm going to use it and I'll never give you credit, it will be my saying and I'll be getting high fives and props for such a clever saying and there is not a damn thing you can do about it!
saying's not exactly applicable to everyone though... ie homosexual males... or heterosexual females... ^_^
Or celibate kunlun monks... =_= (though I'm pretty sure they'd appreciate it most... unless they've taken a fancy to their acolytes.. >_<)
I stole the saying from somewhere else to begin with, haha.I'm taking this saying, and I'm going to use it and I'll never give you credit, it will be my saying and I'll be getting high fives and props for such a clever saying and there is not a damn thing you can do about it!
In MvC3 me playing at a tournament = spam spam spam spam spam spam spammity spaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaam [especially with dormammu]. Cause it's an effective zoning/spacing strategy. If my opponent spams, I'll spam too. Other than that, I don't like spaming, feels cheap, I always try to look cool with some long and flashy combos, if conditions are ok.

3b3b3b3b3b3b really isn't the problem with this game. The problem is every character has lots of gimmick that takes hours to learn how to deal with, and there are so many characters.
Playing online, for someone who is new to playing the game a lot with real human players, is a pain in the ass to deal with all the gimmick combo/setups. It's either takes hours to learn how to deal with 1 character's gimmick, which is too time consuming. Or I can spam my own and hope he falls for mine more than I do to his gimmick. But do that will not really help me improve my game.
So my biggest problem with this game is you can't just keep playing online and gets better, well at least not at a reasonable speed. In all the game I did well in in recent years, such as Starcraft 2, SF4, CoD:MW3, you do need to learn, but mostly just keep playing online and you will get better, which is just not true for this game. If you are to go anywhere as a noob, you needs to spend time to learn every character's gimmick and how to deal with them, which itself would easily take up to 100 hour if not more,(and that will be some really really boring hours) then you might go somewhere.
I feel this is extreme newbie unfriendly way of game design. Give character gimmicks that are easy to use but hard to deal with does not make this game newbie friendly but rather cater to scrubs who don't care about getting better at the game.
How can you compare SCV to Starcraft 2...... that game is much harder to learn considering if you make 1 damn mistake on a team, your allies get so pissed you think they are going to just rip your throat out from your comp screen...
Man if you think 100 hours of invested time is too much, I hope you never have the displeasure of playing Tekken 6 and learning 40 matchups of gimmicks, strings, and frames. SC5 is practically a breath of fresh air in terms of learning curve compared to most fighters.
I don't play Tekken, and games like SF4 has a much easier learning curve, you can learn how to counter most BS by playing online. Plus, what kind of learning curve is also important, VF4/5 has a huge learning curve, but it's more of a universal skill set, not the boring one like in this game where you spend hours in lab to find out every character's gimmick and how to counter them. Yes, there are all the character specific max damage combo, but they are not need just to deal with people at very basic level.
