My problem with 90% of CaS Characters.

I'm with you on that one... Too many people think that red and black makes them look cool or something. I chose black and blue, soon to be the new black and red in seven weeks!!! haha but seriously, just toooooooo many people...
 
Any "Black/White + ??? color" Just makes a character look acceptable, not exceptional, that's the thing. I only do a two-tone character like that if I make someone just for stats - when the parts on someone wouldn't look fitting in any other case.

I hope you never fight me, then. I have a few dozen CaS characters that I fight with. I very rarely use the basic characters, only my customs. I like making up stories for my created characters, and giving them clothes and color schemes that fit those stories.

Black and red are two of my favorite colors. So nyah.

...only one of my CAS actually uses the color scheme, and I don't even freakin' use him, anyway. I end up using a lot of green, though.
 
You know this topic actually does post some merit rather than the bitching that has been going on.

It's slightly odd that it actually enrages anybody who picks a 2 tone color scheme, especially when making a CAS for special mode when they end up looking gay most of the time anyway.
Really, it does seem like the 'cooler' CAS someone has the better of a player they are. Obviously that's not a rule just on observation. If I see someone who just went to the "All colors" line and made their char all black or white I expect to fight a noob star.

I think a lot of people have these expectations. To test this I made a group of "fag" customs that were all pink and purple and just really, really fruity looking. Using these characters people underestimated my ability drastically, especially when I spammed verticals or something in the first part of the round.

The name might have something to do with it also, this guys name is Stroganoff, I think... though it might be Skiwotntoten.
I also had a really plain custom named "Bill" who just wore a leather vest, slacks, and kung fu shoes... nobody felt threatened by him either.

CaS Characters are corny in SCiv... The Recycle Voices (Amy's and Shura's voices overused) Male Voice 1 just sounds retarded, Male Voice 2 and 3 is overused... i fucking hate voice 3... =.=

If the implemented a system where you could actually MAKE a character i bet only 0.5% of them would actually look good. btw the person who started the post is... ugh. GET OVER IT. Besides it only shows the LACK OF CREATIVITY. oh wait. i have a character in Red and Black But she's pretty and has hazel eyes :>

Btw i played a guy who named his character "Chuck Norris"... with Maxi's style...

Yeah, I wasn't so crazy about some of the CaS voices. Female Voice #1 was a little too high pitched, Female Voice #3 sounded so innocent, Male Voice #5 (which is actually pretty good) seemed so "snarly" and Male Voice #6 sounded so...idk, "Ooooaaaa"-ish. o_o
Female Voice #5 sounds a little sexyish, but I think the VA went a little overboard. xD
The only voices I really liked was Male Voices #1 and #4 and Female Voice #6 (sounded so determined!). And I kind of like Female Voice #4 in Japanese.
 
My opinion on this matter is that it all depends on what they perceive the character's personality to be or how many shades of red they use. It is not an awful thing. True, it is over used (I myself will admit my main Cas's costume 1 is black and red predominantly), however, there needs to be more thought and use of other complimentary colors. It's all about how one uses a color pallet.

I modified my X's 1P costume to lack color blending (meaning certain parts of the clothing are only one color) so her jacket and socks are completely black (you can't see the butterfly pattern on her jacket) and her undershirt, shorts and sock ribbons are completely pink.~
