Natsu Questions And Answers / General Discussion

In that video you see me doing it both fast and slow, many different timings.

Reave is right, you're inputting 66B BE way too fast after 88B that the game is not registering the initial inputs and instead is registering 6B or 6A+B+K. Focus on hitting 22B ~ 66B. When you hit that consistently, slap on A+B+K immediately after 66B.

I did it!

I never realized that I was doing 22/88B and 6B instead of 66B, they look so similar that I never thought about it. No wonder I can't BE a 6B. When I want to do a 66B I always hold down the right d-pad and press B, that was what I was trying to do here, but instead I have to double tap the right d-pad and press B.

and they can't give cas characters the same hitbox as their main cast counterparts because if you made a small astaroth, hits that didn't look like they landed would actually hit. but this is okay.

I thought it was because that is just a ninja feint or something. For the same reason that she can do hover cancels or whatever it is when she keeps flickering from hover to possession and vice versa

when she does PO 2, that's an illusion, (though there are some tech jump frames in there), but true HOV, PO 8, she really is supposed to be in the air.

So does Natsu have a decent pressure game? If so what are her main tools for applying pressure/getting advantage [on block]. Basically I want a character who can get in to close range and stay there
The only real experience I have with this character is spamming 66B, but I am thinking of actually making her my sole character.

On block there isn't much in the way of frame traps except for PO B. If you have meter though, there's the PO BE you can use. But from BT PO, all you can really do is K, which is super punishable, but if you see they're pushing buttons after every blocked 6A+B4, for example, it's a good 60 some damage.

She's not really a pressure character like viola or SC2 Taki. Better to try to get CHs like iWS K and then do her bnb combo. Polish up on your A:6 and PO A:6 because they're essential.

Well if she doesn't have frame traps...how are you getting CH WS K?
do you just hope your opponent was doing something silly?
KK2K is a decent setup into WR K. NC i13 string that leaves you at +0 in FC. The best way to land it though is to practice iWR K during those neutral situations where one player has to initiate the attack. Once you train yourself to get a feel for when the opponent is likely to get impatient and press a button, you can interrupt them and start landing raw counter hits. It's kind of like quickdraws in Westerns, actually.
