omg.. anyone else shocked by the x-men anime it looked well done
gave Level E another chance it seems decent in a corny way

So I just started watching spice and wolf on Netflix.

Damn. What a cute show. There's little action to speak of. And yet I find myself trying to figure out the mystery elements and eating up the Renaissance business tactics. There's an episode where they give the character Lawrence two passwords. These passwords are the names of authors. One of them wrote a tract on The Prince, the other did a book on medieval economics. The author did their homework. Also there's a romance but I'm sure nobody notices that.

I remember that show. I wonder why I dropped it...

Yeah the first season of FMA was way different from the manga but both were actually really good. It saddened me what happened to greed though.

On to me now! I started watching School Rumble on netflix and I'm fucking hooked on that shit. I find myself staying up later than I should watching episodes trying to see whats going to happen, and the comedy is actually decent. Oh and I finished watching Gunslinger girl which was also pretty awesome.

I recently learned that two new series of "Slayers" were made, called Slayers Revolution and Evolution-R... wtf is that shit?

Boring, the story was stupid, not enough funny moments... they ruin the good name of this great anime ._.

No wonder I don't watch any animes nowadays. I put my hopes in Evangelion: Quickening, though.

92% of anime is horrible. They usually fail in one or more of these categories: Animation, story, and/or voice acting.

Thanks for that. Anything constructive to add or are we just here to puff out our chest and state the obvious?

Stories can be subjective though. I had a friend who hated berserk, meanwhile I had another friend who (like me) loved it.

I consider Kemonozume, FMA: First Series, FLCL, Cowboy Bebop, and Shigurui to be very good animations. I was going to include Sayonara Zetsubo Sensei, but that show frustrates me sometimes.

I only like Slayers and Slayers Next. Slayers Try is ass and I haven't watched the newer ones. Watch Rune Soldier if you haven't, it's very Slayers like and it is actually good.

I feel bad for doing it, but I'm one of those 'the manga is better' people in regards to Deadman Wonderland. I'm sure that I would've enjoyed it had I not known what was going to happen next, but yeah, the spoilers don't have as much of an impact. That and the art/animation isn't as good as the manga (censors don't help the cause either).

Slayers Try was sooooo bad.

I'm only mid way through Revolution, but it's so much better than try it allows me to keep going. Plus the animation is really good, better than any other Slayers outside of the movies. Which are also pretty good, if you like Naga. The biggest problem Revolution has so far are the new animal character, who is lame, and the constant flat jokes, which are meh. Other than that, the episodes are more self-contained, and the overall story has taken a back seat. No 2-3 episode DBZ fights, which is good; the action in the original Slayers series was awful, boring, and not fun to watch. Now the action is alright and animated well enough that it doesn't become annoying.

Also, they got almost all of the old English cast back, so that's nice.
