Second season of Hayate no Gotoku! out in April. I highly recommend you watch the first season if you haven't already, because I'm pretty sure that there will be very good times.

Of course i've seen it, Kotoko did the themes, that's an auto watch at any time. It was freaking funny, so many anime jokes it wasn't even funny, she was even watching The Matrix and 300 at one point.

I stumbled across this list of the top 100 anime and I gotta says I feel like a lot of stuff is WAY outa place!

http://darkdiamond.net/web-notes/top-100-anime-of-japan/

Wheres Trigun?

Wheres Ronin Warriors?

Wheres Tenchi?

Wheres Escaflowne?

Where Hjime No Ippo?

Why is Inuyasha above Ranma 1/2?

Why is Bleach above Nauro and one Piece (or for that matter, even on the list)

Why Isn't Mai-HiME at least in the top 20?

Why Isn't Mai-HiME at least in the top 20?

1. Because the Trigun manga is so much more awesome than the anime. You know it too.

2. Probably because it's old and no one's heard about it. These darn kids today with them fancy animes...

3. It's good, but way too much overblown romantic comedy stuff. At least to me.

4. I second this. WHERE IS TEH ESCLAFLOWNE?

5. Cuz it's boxing.

6. Again, I second this. To all Inuyasha fans, I'm sorry, but it's long, terrible, and way too predictable.

7. I agree. Bleach, Naruto, heck even One Piece should NOT be remotely counted as some of the best animes out there. (Boatloads of fillers and repetitive scenes, anyone?) If you are one of the people who do think they are AMAZING, then news flash: you aren't looking hard enough. It's the same as the MASSES of people who continue to believe that Twilight is the most epic story ever. I have to say it has a decent story, but come on, the writing style looks like an elementary school kid wrote it.

8. Mai- Hime was good, but not that great. I personally loved the manga, but even I know that it's not the most compelling or the deepest story. In fact, many of the most popular animes/ books today have lots of flash and fighting, but are as shallow as a puddle. Grr.

These are my opinions, feel free to take them with many grains of salt. But I stand by them. Ranting is fun kids, you should try it sometime.

On another note, YAY 100th post! This is the first forum that I've ever stayed on that long. LONG LIVE 8WAYRUN!!!

Well AM64i can agree here but am saddened at your love for abnormally bad movies, that is Shan Fighter the Legend of Dun-Li

Aww, come on, that's not fair. I didn't love it, I give it a solid 2 out of 4 stars. I'm just getting tired of hearing people say how bad it was.

On another note...I'm not sure if I'm the only one who actually still pays for anime, but Best Buy is having a 50% off sale at select stores. I spent $120 bucks when I went and got 5 season box sets!

Trigun was good, but I agree that the manga was better.

What's Ronin Warriors?

Tenchi was good, but so many spinn-off series made it confusing.

Escaflowne confused me as well, but for a different reason. The manga and anime are totally different.

Yeah, why isn't Hijime No Ippo up there?

Inuyasha was long, repetitive, and boring, IMO. Even the long haired "boy-toys" couldn't save them. At least, that's what I thought. Surprise!

I honestly don't like having shonen manga-turned-anime even on the list because it's lengthy with so many fillers. The Bleach manga is, as always, superior to the anime. What I don't get is how Naruto got so popular. That's just my opinion.

I have no opinion on Mai-Hime

Honestly, the fact that FMA is number 1 pisses me off. I hated that series. To each his/her own, eh?

Hajime no Ippo was cancelled. The anime wasnt that popular.

It was brought back because the manga IS that popular.
There's no wonder why it's not there.

The Ippo anime was tight, but it doesn't look special upon first glance so I guess that's why it never took off. Everyone who's seen the show agrees that it's good. I'm glad it's back now and didn't compromise on quality & feel.

#1 and 2 on that list are FMA and Eva, fucking hell. I guess it's useful in a way as a mental study.

I am currently watching:
Chaos;Head
Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni (Kai)

Finished watching:
Elfen Lied
Wolfs Rain
Chrono Crusade
School Days
Hellsing

Uhhh..thats it I guess

I've always wanted to see School Days. I heard that the last episode was held back for while because of a murder committed by a sixteen year-old Japanese girl against her father.

DON'T DO IT

the show is AWFUL, BAD, CRAP, TERRIBLE. one of the worst i've seen, the Ending is the only thing saving most people who watch it from killing themselves. It's so terrible...it would've been better if they took out every character that said ANYTHING and just had background stills.

Elfen Lied, Ikki Tousen, Ikki Tousen: Dragon's Destiny (Season 2), Higurashi (both seasons), Yuyu Hakusho, Lucky Star, Hellsing, Amazing Nurse Nanako... just completely random XS.
