No, you're wrong sir... The only fav of mine is only Sieg from that list I made... This list is just my humbe opinion of who is important story-wise + who has become a SC symbol (meaning without him, SC wouldn't feel the same).
And please don't place Siegfried and Nightmare in the same spot, they are two different chars now...
 
if its recognizability, it'd be nightmare first, probably followed by mitsu.

The term 'important is just so vague and open to interpretatoin, no 2 lists can possibly be the same :p

Idk about Cerv... I was always thinking that he'd be cut out... But still returned... Who believes that Cerv will return? I actually think that ppl liked Shura more, so what if Namco bought her copyrights from the guy that made her and replace Cerv?
 
Im not one of the people who liked shura more.
I actually hate her because she was so promising with her 4 Katanas but in the end she was just a Cervy clone, and a stupid one at that.
 
I find that Shura could have been a whole new character and had much more to give than what she actually did, but... it's not like she has four arms to use her four swords. Besides, she's not returning, that was the very first new of the game.
 
Shura was an annoying duplicate of Cervantes. Bonus Characters are stupid in SCIV. I'm sorry, but they are.

What makes them stupid? Berserker and Assassin were bonus characters and were two of my favorites in SCII. Amy was a bonus character in SoulCalibur 3, and she wasn't 'stupid' as you say. In fact, she got her own style in the next game! I'm pretty sure that at least one of the SCIV bonus characters will return in SCV, either with a new style or replacing the character they were based on. You don't like Shura? Fine, I don't like Scheherazade, but that doesn't mean bonuses are stupid. They have a lot of money and artistic work behind them, and I don't think Namco would spend all the money and time that bonuses cost to make a 'stupid' character. Your comment is simply silly.

You know, I think a japanese female berserker with evil twin katanas is much cooler than a zombie spanish pirate named after a famous writter. Just saying...
 
Imo most important characters are:

1- Ivy(because of sex... Or something like that... at least in SCIV.
2- Mitsurugi(because he is a samurai)
3- Taki(because sex+she is a ninja
4- Siggy/Nightmare("boring" main char attitude)
5- Sophitia(pretty greek girl image)
6- Voldo(either you love freaks or you hate them)
7- Astaroth(big, bad Golems are always a +)
8- Kilik(handsome guys. Like ´em or hate ´em. Like Leon S.Kennedy/Resi)
9- Cervantes(´Cause pirates, even dead pirates, are COOL!)
10-Reserved for several chars i can´t decide like Yoshi, Tira, X...

True,but it's confirmed that Shura wont be in SCV.
 
I think Setuska had a daughter, Mitsurugi killed Setsuka, Taki took Setsuka's daughter as her disciple to get revenge on Mitsurugi. Thoughts?
