Well, I have two lists, one for every SC I've played (3, 4, BD, 5) and one for just 5.
Just in 5:
1: Pat. I missed the elegantly brutal style Cassandra had, and everyone told me "play Pyrrha, dood. It's basically the same thing." I later realized how dumb they were. Pat, though, is arrogant, brutal, and DMC-stylish. I keep trying to use others, but he keeps reeling me in.
Almost forgot. His CE strips people in a believable way. Sweet.
2: Xiba. I miss old Kilik, but when I heard Johnny Bosch was bringing the style back, I was hooked. While the overall style doesn't suit me aesthetically, he's fun to play, and I can't ask for much more than that.
3: Pyrrha/Oprah. It's a matter of feeling at the time. While I like Pyrrah's style, I can't stand her TEYAHs. So if I use Pyrrha style, it's usually a CaS. Omega, though, is a beast, and while I still prefer Pat, I love to use her for stress relief. Angry Laura Bailey is great.
4: Natsu. Again, I just have fun using her, and I must be one of the only people who likes her beyond the fanservice. She ain't Taki, but let's face it: If playable Taki returns, they'll have to one-up Natsu, right?
5: Ezio. Best. Cameo. Ever. He's not higher because I spam crossbow too much.
For all the games I've played:
1: Cassandra. My first character in the franchise, and I've loved her since I first played SC3 for exactly the same reasons as Pat... you know, aside from the whole 'Pat=/=Cass' thing.
2: Zasalamel. This is more of a style thing, but I just like Zas. He was the tank I could kinda play.
3: Old Kilik. See Xiba for details.
4: Seung Mi-na. Like Kilik, but a bit slower and with less sweeps.

Top 10 of whole saga
1- Hwang
Because fuck you Namco. The style, the power, the design,the badasseness, the dinamic and cool aggressive moveset. Plus some of his moves where just priceless (no,i'm not talking of 3AAB :D). Dude got all, but at some point Namco just replaced him with dat effeminate red kid. Well shit happens, that's life
2- Mitsu.
Because with Hwang ever out he's the one i mained the most in these years. Super badass style and design, specially i miss his SC3 version for both just epic chara design and huge various moveset. Currently i don't main him btw
3- Rock.
Yeah, at this point should be yet clear that Namco hate me :D Rock was badass, i ever liked his brutal naive chara design but ever more his new style(so from SC3),where he become different from Asta. Epic fun all throw/ground throw and RO gameplay, something truly unique for SC. Too bad for him he was'nt a 15y old girl or a top tier(ever been between low and shit tier),so both casual emo kids and good competitive players ignored him
4- Zasalamel.
I know at this point is official that being a my fav is like a curse :D Dude got original weapon/style, some epic chara design and charisma. Also he was extremely fun to use imho and his gameplay bring new stuff on the table
5- Hilde.
Usually i not use female chars, in fight games i main nearly ever males and for boobs i prefer the real world.
BUT dat babe is just too much. Beautiful, perfect chara design, very interessing style and gameplay.
6- Setsuka.
Teh curse... again. For her just read the motivation for Hilde,she was just perfection
7- Sieg.
Because his style is badass,fun and you need balls to take the risk :D Also, if we imagine a world where SC4 is never existed, Sieg ever got great chara design. Simple but badass. Plus,is a Gatsu wannabe,this alone get points
8- Cervantes
Because he's the fucking Cervantes
9- Ezio.
Lol, never supposed to have a guest in fav list, i ever been against them. But he's perfectly fitting with SC (actually more than some SC char), and is my main in SCV. He's fun, tactic, playing him give that underdog feeling that give extra kudos to every victory. Plus finally an italian that is'nt Voldo :D ps: the curse again,being guest he will not be in SC6. lol
10- Zwei.
Let me be clear. I hate Zwei, the character. I like A LOT Zwei, the moveset. Actually is my second main and the only new char i liked

1. Pyrrha omega - she is agressive and she is not an easy character but not a hard character neither
2. Ezio - His moveset seems very balanced and though he is slow his fighting style is mainly based on 2 or 3 hits combos
3. Raphael - I like fancy and fast characters
4. Natsu - ^I've always been a fan of fast characters
5. a Patroklos - His precision and difficulty make him an interesting character
6. Yoshimitsu - I guess he is just fun to play
7. Viola - Her frame advantage and her everlasting combos, while making her as cheap as mitsurugi has always been, it's making her the most interesting new style in the game (after Ezio)
8. Hilde - I like her for being the only decent-dressed female in the game, that actually makes her a little bit sexier
9. Cervantes - idk I just like him
10. Tira - I like her design and her weapon
