Pyrrha Ω Gameplay Discussion / Q&A

The following non-KND mids/lows force a standing state when they hit crouching opponents:
3A, WR A, 6K, 3K, WR A+B, 66A, 66B+K

And the following moves allow the opponent to remain crouching:
2A_FC A, BT 2A, B, BB, 6BB, 2B_FC 1B, 1B_FC B, Jump B, BT B, BT 2B, 2K_FC K, 1K (forces crouch), BT 2K, B+K, any hit of 2B+K series, 11A, 22K

Fun fact: If you hit a 2A against a crouching Leixia, a followup 66B will whiff completely if she does FC 3bB.

Hey guys, never really bothered to think about this until now, but I'd like to know where the 236B:4 and 236236B:4 just frame is with respect to the 236B4/236236B4 window. Does anyone have any idea?

I believe the JF window is briefly after the 236B lands if not immediately after. Same goes for DNS B.

I recorded a video with inputs of me getting the JF timing a while back for my own reference, but never did anything with it. Would seeing that be any help in this matter?

Well, I can get into the groove of getting back to back just frame DNS B:4s in training, but the important thing I feel is where it is relative to the rest of the window so I know where to aim if I'm buffering a DNS B through some ambiguous block stun. But you say it's at the front of the window?

I will have to feel what my intuition thinks about that next time I'm in training mode stabbing things.

Yeah, it seems as if the sooner I input the 4 after either stab, the better chance I have of hitting the JF window. Sometimes feels easier through certain block stuns but that's just me.

One of my favorite combos/tech traps with Horseshoe is to 66B, and if it hits immediately use her 4B+K. If they get up immediately it's a tech trap, and it can chain into CE for super damage. I forget how much exactly but I think it might be around 140 or 150.

I'd like to see that video, if it isn't too much trouble.

I'm a 99% Leixia user, but I've recently become very interested in learning Poe.

I've never seen anyone post about this, but I've found "TAS B TAS B" again.

You can get the stun off back and front ukemis, but the timing is difficult. It's interesting, but it doesn't seem to have much use. Landing a DNS B:4 deals more damage than DNS B DNS B or even DNS B CE (DNS B and CE follow ups do roughly the same damage).

what is the key to get 236B4? does spam 4 helps? on some of the combos in the combo list, 6B end up coming out instead of 236B/236x2 B, is it because the moves put me in crouching status? what can I do to avoid 6B coming out? will holding G before a move help?

236B:4 requires careful timing. Mashing buttons and directions won't get you anywhere. To get you started, press back as soon as her blade hits the opponent's stomach. To get the Just version, move your visual cue back a few frames, to just BEFORE the stab touches. This will help counter the natural delay that occurs when you react to the cue on screen.

Both 236B and 236236B can be performed from crouch, along with all other NS and DNS attacks. If you're getting 6B, your execution is off. Go into training mode with input data on, them check to see which input is incorrect/missing. If I had to guess, you're missing the 3 direction, and the game is seeing 2 5 6B , which it interprets as 6B.

A shortcut to DNS B is to perform a 23653 motion; try it out.

Holding G before using NS / DNS won't change how the moves come out.

(G)236 release G 236 can be used to perform an "instant" DNS but it serves no practical use because 236~3 is just as fast or faster and gives the added range from the transition from NS to DNS from a slower input. Good advice all around.

She's not. It's a preference thing. I can't speak for anyone else here, but you should define "better" if you want any kind of serious response.

Do you like having DNS attacks? Do you like having a higher reward for landing just frames on your stabs? Then Poe is for you.

Both characters are great, and each has strengths and weaknesses. Overall, they play fairly similarly, with nearly identical properties to their basic moves (AA, BB, 2K, 2A, Throw distance). They share 60% of the same move set, if not more.

Whatever floats your boat.
