Shitty tournament. It got started way late. I didn't even stick around to the end. They DQ'd the person I was playing because he didn't show up well before they even started marvel finals, then they DQ'd him again after Marvel finals, and then I played him, and it was like he spent 4 minutes just learning a combo with algol and how to shoot bubbles. I played RTD and it was really fun. Then Vallei knocked me out with Hilde/LM, and I don't even remember what time it was at that point.
No casuals except for some friday (ggs Berry, JoshtheFunkDoc, and a few others). And then as we were driving back they said they had a setup like in the corner of the place with casuals going on. I couldn't find anyone there, so I just played in the mystery tournament and played some other 2d game and then left. I saw BLDave and Shardz on sunday but I had no idea they had setups for calibur 4.
I just don't understand the reasoning for starting so late, and even then.. this tournament was originally scheduled for Sunday and they would have had more than enough setups on that day. It was really retarded. Who wants to play a tournament match at like 2 in the morning? I probably won't go back for SB4, and I don't think a lot of people will either... unless you play Marvel it's not really worth going, other than I met a lot of cool people from here and SC.com

I can respect that. I love rivalries, shit talk, but not personal insults. You can talk about my skill and me as a gamer all day, i'm cool with that it's fun. Same to Ryujin! BTW, I didn't mean playing online (trust me, I know how bad it is) but paying online. SB3 had a good idea in making the brackets in advance, but the problem was that you didn't pay until you arrived. This meant that a lot of the online pre-regs backed out at the last minute, which is how OOFMATIC got 93485592 byes.
But yeah, good stuff to all the high placers in the tourney! In spite of all the BS I still enjoyed it. =)

SB3 had a good idea in making the brackets in advance, but the problem was that you didn't pay until you arrived. This meant that a lot of the online pre-regs backed out at the last minute, which is how OOFMATIC got 93485592 byes.
But yeah, good stuff to all the high placers in the tourney! In spite of all the BS I still enjoyed it. =)
