But... why? That was literally cancer to the ears. I hope you're joking. As long as we get the "ding!" sound effect of the just frame like in SCIV, i'm all for it. :)
Whaaa- seriously? It was fucking epic lol. It would making pulling off JFs (especially with a character like Setsuka) much more hype. I personally really enjoyed that.But... why? That was literally cancer to the ears. I hope you're joking.
If a simple sound like that manage to motivate you not to just frame, then I'm guessing you're not big on guard impact either. It was a personal peeve of mine, and it actually motivated me to not do just frames. I hated it. If there was a way to turn just that sound effect off, I'd have done it in a heartbeat.
No, the Guard Impact sound is fine. It doesn't grate on the ears nearly so much. It probably helps that the sound has been basically the same in every game, so it's a standard that I've gotten used to and accepted. I'm not sure why they changed the Just Frame sound for SoulCalibur IV, but I'm happy they changed it again for SoulCalibur V, which says to me at least one other person probably found it annoying, and I hope the SoulCalibur IV sound never returns. The volume and pitch was tuned just so where it was painful. If a simple sound like that manage to motivate you not to just frame, then I'm guessing you're not big on guard impact either. It was a personal peeve of mine, and it actually motivated me to not do just frames. That would be extremely neat. I hope this is a thing.I also suspect you'll be able to customize the soul charge color, just like you could change the hit effects for weapons in SC5.
Definitely, imagine a green-colored Soul Charge effect. That would be extremely neat. I hope this is a thing.
I agree and customization could be fun, but to my taste let's say a RE between characters with bright-green and fuchsia color effects might look out of place and over the top, considering RE itself is already on the verge of being too flashy.I think it's probably going to be character-dependent. Although admittedly it would lose some of its visual impact if the two characters had identical colors.

You're not wrong. But I don't think it'll look any more out of place than cowboy Mitsurugi vs. firefighter Sophitia.I agree and customization could be fun, but to my taste let's say a RE between characters with bright-green and fuchsia color effects might look out of place and over the top, considering RE itself is already on the verge of being too flashy.
People really know how to let themselves go when it comes to CAS...ugh l0lcowboy Mitsurugi vs. firefighter Sophitia.

Please noWhat would your reaction be if we got guest characters from Dragon Ball FighterZ? They wouldn't necessarily be out of place, since their large ki blast attacks could be relegated to Critical Edge.
Here's a question I'd like to put before the thread:
How would you react if your favorite character wasn't in SoulCalibur VI? Would it completely kill your hype?
