SCV Ivy FAQ & General Discussion

Could someone please assist me? I'm trying to finish my Einsatz Calcatrix guide and there's one thing I can't get.

I'm missing Ivy's 22B.B: B: B: B:B data.. If you could quickly get the info, I'd appreciate it.

Easy way to set it up: go to training and select Ivy vs Tira, blahblah.
If you go to Record Command 1 and record Tira's B+K, you can go to CPU Character Settings and edit what they do to the following: Action one: Stand All Guard; Action two: Replay Record 1.

Then then do 22B.B: B: B: B:B. Tira will block the first hit and counter the second.

This way will tell you how many times each move hits so I can figure out the damage taken.

Then switch characters and record Ivy doing 22B.B: B: B: B:B. Make sure you have the gauge set to 0% and block the first hit, countering the the second.
This way will tell you how much gauge is built.

I'd really appreciate it. c:

The first hit gets blocked.
2nd hit hits 3 times for 5 damage each (15 total).
3rd hit hits 3 times for 5 damage each (15 total).
4th hit hits 2 times for 6 damage each (12 total) then activates the GI.
If the 4th hit is not JFed, the GI does not activate.

It builds just under 1 and 1/4 bar, including the meter built from the attack throw thingy. Without including that it's a tiny bit over 1 bar.

Thank you very much. c:

Edit: Wait, so.. The second-to last just gets impacted? I could've sworn you'd impact the last. o.o;

The hit that gets impacted is the fourth one out of the 6 hits in the string (including the 22(B) as the first hit).
If you do the first two JFs and mess up the third one the impact doesn't happen for some reason.

But when you do the justs, the fourth hit (that you can get without the justs) triggers it? I mean.. I've seen plenty of moves where you'd get hit by the same move that you impact, it's just weird that it's here.. Especially since that hit only hits twice normally. O.o;

The fourth hit only triggers when it's JFed (i.e. 5th hit would come out if it weren't for the aGI). If you don't JF it Tira just stands there like a retard doing whatever it is she does.

Okay, so.. Sorry, I'm having a hard time visualizing this.. You have to get the Just for the fifth hit.. for the fourth hit to trigger the impact? o_.

Trippy. That means it would increase the active frame duration for fourth hit.. which kind of makes sense, considering all others hit three times and that one hit twice.

Thank you, though. I'll figure out a way to explain that. xD

Those of you who use Ivy and play tekken, who do you use
also we should make a wtf team for IVY players if there are enough

ps. as you can see im very bored talking nonsense xD

Is there a way to make Ivy enter Back Turned.
Trying to bounce all these Algol's orbs back is a bit difficult when I have to duck first.

Can someone help me out with the WS 1B ~G~ 6B8 combo. (hope notation is right: You know, the one where you launch the opponent over your head and then 6B8 him). Seems a very important move (after getting thoroughly kicked by Ivys using it against me) and I simply can't figure out the timing.

Also. What situations lead to good traps for using 6A+B?

@ Smartypants. No it doesn't because you have to hit them in order to be backturned and he wants to reflect the balls.

Against algol it sometimes is good to just GI his ball and do 66B BE after it.

@ Vanvid. Timing is annoying but you can hold G as soon as you hit so Ivy will turn as soon as possible. After learning when that is use 4B7/8

All traps with 6A+B involve your opponent with his back to the wall. My favorite is 1K~6A+B.

I'll try that out a bit, hope I get good success with it.

Ok, I was thinking stuff like, CH 4A for example then follow up with 6A+B? Or other "stunning/crumbling" attacks that delay the opponent so much he has a harder time reacting to it. I know he can just stay on the ground though. So maybe it's a really bad idea. But then you could cancel and use bK?

You can't cancal 6A+B so ones it starts it will finish. CH 4A should be good against people who always try to ukemi.

ivy's 8B is -4 on hit and counterhit? wtf? I thought that's one of her best counter move
The move was always negative on hit, but stunned on counterhit in the previous installments of SC. Now it doesn't stun, but it's safer on guard. It's still a very good move now that the backstep is so unsafe.
