SCV- New CHARACTER ideas

I'm not starting this again... I simply prefer SC closer to it's roots. In older SC games the styles were based off of real fighting styles. Magic is just bland to me, it always will be. That's all I'm going to say since you didn't even bother to explain why you think magic characters would benefit SC.
Hey, you said it youself, you wanted variety.

Ugh...
Edit: I don't think straying SC farther from it's roots would be a good thing. If you want magic play one of those 2D fighters I forget the name of (because I don't care :P).

Hmm... Some weapons need a new perspective, like Zasalamel Deathscythe, you see the style should be more swift, , the style was almost based on Mi-Na and Kilik and way to "heavy".
Raphael rapier is also to heavy, rapiers should be swift, and based on taking advantage of the oponent doing some guard error

Maybe someone using a chain. I like the idea of daggers,

This is why we need magic.
Including more "magic" doesn't solve that problem at all. Magic, to me, takes away the focus of what this game is all about (Weaponry). Having "magical" characters over characters with weapons? Not a great idea. It's bad enough Z.W.E.I. gets some negativity with the wolf being his "weapon".

But anyways, adding "magic" doesn't solve the "variety" problem within the series. New weapons (with new fighting styles) do.

Not too fond of the "same weapon, different style" ideas, but that's just me.

Zwei and Viola don't bother me much, I actually like them as characters. And they weren't the first magic users, Zasalamel comes to mind. I don't really want more magical characters, though.

I'd like to see a character with a flail and also a saber+dagger style.

Also, two characters I really want to see are a Spanish conquistador and a native American tribal warrior, inspired by the Aztecs. He couldn't technically be an Aztec as they were destroyed at this point in time (unless he is a bitter and vengeful man who has been taught to resent the Spanish conquerors who destroyed the land of his forefathers).

The conquistador because their traditional armor is extremely badass, in my opinion, and because I think he would be a really unique and interesting new character for the Soul series. He could be the saber+dagger style, or he could use a larger one-handed longsword or something of the like. I'd also like him to have either a pistol or a rifle (or both) that he could pull out for his CE and maybe for some specials.

The Aztec-inspired warrior because he would be the perfect rival for the conquistador and because it would just be cool to have an Aztec. I like the idea of him being resentful of the Spanish for destroying his people. He could even be trying to find Soul Edge to re-establish the Aztec Empire or something of the like. He could use one of those sweet Aztec war clubs. It'd be brutal. And awesome.

I think SC would be better off without guests.
Yeah I did like the guest chars in sc4...only vader and apprentice tho because of their unique styles and gameplay. The others can suck it lol

I think SC would be better off without guests.
Guests take away too much attention from the original cast... the cast people should actually focus on. What sense is it to main a character that will only appear once? Guests are gimmicky and shouldn't be what attracts people to the series. I knew people who liked to main apprentice rather then just learn a series character.

Well, guest characters are what make the SC series unique in my opinion. I get your point, the Star wars characters didn't belong. They should have guests that match the time period like Ezio and Kratos.
