SCV Tier List

What needs to be fixed is why people need to Step G in the first place with this game. Guess I'll be waiting for Super Soulcalibur V for that to happen.

First week sale is very weak, I doubt they even want to do a super. Esp with so many fighters out and lots more coming up.

I feel like Natsu will be a lot less viable down the road as people study her to death as almost every soul area has been doing in the past couple weeks. Maybe it's because of the character I play as, but I feel like Nightmare is incredibly easy to punish.
yeah, that's one of NM's main weaknesses.

Oh my god lol step G is not a problem at all. Stop imaging and do actual testing and you'd see it isn't the most amazing thing. works better against slow horizontals, but fast horizontals still hit. so quit whining.

and fuzzy and Jg aint broken. You all need buffs and knowledge about the other games to know this is mild.

So... SCIV Ivy?
Was she high-execution like...say...Setsuka? Or did you have to work a lot to get wins? High-execution is a different kind of hard-to-play from just having a tough time in the neutral game.

I don't know anything about SCIV competitively, so yeah.

Straightforward execution if you had binds, not even that hard to play imho. Just a shitload and I mean a shitload to learn before you got her down. When people managed that, she won every major in the last two years in SCIV save DEV 2K11 - she was *that* OP, lol.
However, compared to the other top tiers, only Setsuka was harder to play. =/

I thought we were talking about fighting games.
you can play it as 1v1 fighting game, just a different subset of FTG that's all. it still doesn't change the fact that they are hardest to use and no one could ever achieve the level of execution needed to use them perfectly, but they are still the most used character despite being difficult to use.

you can play it as 1v1 fighting game,
Not as a serious competitive fighter you can't. Even the smash bros developers say it is not a competitive FG and they don't want it to be.
I would advise you to stop defending it on here though - you have your thoughts on it, I have mine, so does everybody else, but on these boards, you will not be taken seriously if you try to convince people it stands as a good fighter (good competitively). If you think it does, that's fine, just keep it to yourself, its not worth the hassle, lol.

Sooooo...pretty much like Dante in UMvC3. Shitload of options and high learning curve, but with only moderately difficult execution.

Was it the same Ivys winning all the time? Or were there a ton of them winning different tournaments?

Whoaahhzz, NFK, Malek, Scud mainly, I only kept up to date internationally on majors, not minors.
I think in 2011 only Pantocrator ever beat Scud in a singles tournament though, lol.

As for other Ivy's, you had people like Ring (who should have been winning majors), Eli, Darkslayer when he wasn't whoring Amy.

Basically, if you were a good player, Ivy absolutely would carry you after you put the time investment in at the start. Even early on I can't think of a major she didn't get top 8 in...

It's not about whether stepG can be beaten. It's about the very real possibility of it turning SC5 into a boring game that virtually no one wants to play. Forest for the trees, sir.
