The correct standpoint is that bottom half characters are underpowered. Not I repeat not the other way around.
And i12? So what. In SCIV Yoshimitsu had an instant tech crouching i9 that dealt a lot of damage, almost half bar by a wall, had enormous RO potential and frametrapped itself.

You're just being a dick only because telling damn-i-suck he's wrong is a fashionable thing to do. Competitive gaming is still gaming. We play a game competitively because it's fun. Don't knock someone's incentive to even play the game in the first place as scrub mentality then tell them to play someone they hate.

You are also allowed to complain that the character you're chosen isn't competitive. The game hasn't even seen a balance patch yet. The developers are listening. Everything could be subject to change.

Huh? Based on what? Where are you coming from? Would SCIV have been a better game if everyone was buffed up to Hilde levels? There is more than one "correct standpoint" on balance.

Huh? Based on what? Where are you coming from? Would SCIV have been a better game if everyone was buffed up to Hilde levels? There is more than one "correct standpoint" on balance.

People keep telling me Mitsurugi is S tier.


I want what they're on.

Imo top 2 are Alpha Patroklos and Natsu right now(Devil Jin doesnt count because he is CaS).
 
Honestly, I keep feeling like the entire Asia team (Leixia, Maxi, Xiba, and Natsu) is WAY too fucking good. Then again, I don't know how to deal with maxi or Xiba so.... : P

Natsu's are funny though. They run straight at you, and it sets them up for counter hits oh so very well.

You know this is the Soulcalibur CASUAL section right?

Maybe you guys could wait til there've been some tournaments, and til you've played in some tournaments, before you go decreeing what the tier lists will be?
 
Because a tier discussion at this stage is a pretty casual thing.

Usually thse threads end up being "Well, MY opinion on the tiers is blah blah...", without reading others' posts or responding to other points made.

Tournament results let us KnoW which characters are doing good. They DO NOT, however, dictate which characters are Top Tier. Doesn't player skill have anything to do with results?!
 
I am not talking about tournament results. I am talking about no-excuses matchup experience between top players. This happens at tournaments. After a while, casual sessions between the top players will count for a lot as well. But the game's been out a week and there is a lot of BS going on here.

In the meantime, just let these guys talk as much crap as they want.
 
In other words, a tier list this early on can't be taken seriously by anyone, especially competitive players. And since casual players have no need for a tier list, this should be moved to the Stupid section of the boards.
 
After messing around with Alpha for the 1st time yesterday, I have come to the conclusion that he is deliciously ridiculous. But the best thing about him? He requires execution. So we won't see a boat load of Alphas online/@ tourneys ^^
