Soul Calibur 5 Guest/Bonus/CAS Character Discussion

Chances of Kilik passing Kali-yuga on are slim. Rugi using 2 katanas? He's a Samurai.. not a ninja, you've got Yoshimitsu for dual katana purposes. Just bring Li-Long back if you want double Nunchaku's. I like the idea of Lizardman using a Shield and Spear spartan style. And the "huge iron spiked chainball" as you so eloquently put it, I believe is called a "Flail", which would be interesting but I can't see Astaroth veering from his diabolical, 2handed axe. I doubt they'd change Taki's fighting style all together, maybe with the 17 year leap they'll bring someone in that's related to Taki with a similar style but who knows.

Well my friend, Mitsu is based on sword master and samurai Musashi Miyamoto, and Musashi's style was a 2 katanas style (is passed from 1 to 2), i've no idea why you see it as a "ninja thing" :D

For the rest keep in mind that i doubt they will change the weapon/style of all, probably just 1-2
 
I dont Hilde changing her style as she has one of the most interesting and individual style. That goes also for a lot more people like zasa, ivy, voldo etc. However I think its possible they change somewhere yunsung, seong mina or even mitsu as their style are not that special.
 
I very much doubt anyone will change their style. I think that the quote directly relates to Siegfried not using Soul Calibur anymore and probably similar changes in other characters.
 
You know what would be frickin' awesome? Ivy returns as a boss charcter, a God-tier etherial spirit with magic weapons and Hilde-style doom combos. She could float around the room like Algol and her whip would change form into all sorts of sick stuff. Omg I gotta get a twitter account just so I can pester Daishi
 
By my calculation, going on the numbers from the poll above, it's 44.1%, roughly, of course not everyone who votes no guests decides they still want a choice...

Of course, if It were a choice it'd be Manny all the way for me... Not that it matters now as it seems Namco made their decision, and all this thread can be is either predictions or wishlists.

And not everyone who votes for a particular guest wouldn't really be happier with no guests at all. ;)
 
Well this is not a bad idea at all, since some new characters will get the weapon styles from already established characters aka Old characters, some of the original characters should get new weapon styles so they could be as "fresh" as the new characters are...

Another option would be to change weapon styles between already established characters.

E.G.:

Rock getting back his giant axe from Astaroth and Astaroth getting the giant Maces from Rock.
 
Cassandra with Soul Calibur and Sophitia with Soul Edge sounds like a good idea in my opinion.:)
Anyway, there's still a chance that Xianghua will pass her sword down to her child.

Yes, this is very possiblle, we yet seen characters change type of weapons but keeping the style:

Rock: axe -> hammer and spiked mace
Lizardman: sword+shield -> axe+shield

damn....You're right, i forgot about them....
Gabriel was my best bet, i can`t think of other character that could fit in SC universe...(please no more anime characters)
