I mean, it was always more nuanced with the default characters and their costumes. The explosions and complete obliterations of armor only happened with custom characters or customized outfits.

Looks like a bit of both. The strings that hold together her top has been ripped.

Check out her lack of
1) elbow armor,
2)the white transparent top she normally would have had,
3) the forearm bracers that are now missing.

That stuff is completely gone.
 
Keep in mind everyone, the game is still in development which means that SO much can change. If you look back at the old SC5 trailers and gameplay, a lot of stuff is very different lol for example:

Brave Edge Color (everyone had their own unique color at first), CE cinematics, Health Bars and JG color (blue and red)

Setsuka, Tira, Hilde, Zas, Dampierre, and maybe Algol cuz they have a hard on him

I don't think it will get much representation tbh

A roster without Aeon is not a roster I'm okay with.

Does anyone else think the graphics look really bad and cartoonish? It looks a lot like Street Fighter 4, a game from 2008. The trailer looks like a last-gen game. I guess the gameplay's all that really matters, but I really hope Soulcalibur doesn't go down the cartoonish road.

I kid.....I want to see Taki return, too. Though I wouldn't mind seeing Natsu again if she's reworked like in that concept art.

It looks great and I wouldn't mind a cartoonish look.

I imagined SoulCalibur with Cel-shaded graphic before.
