While Pyrrha´s background and circumstances are certainly different and direr than those her of immediate family, I don´t think you´re supposed to give much thought to where she learn how to fight. You can expect the writers to make a point of where she got her weapons, though.

I'm not saying to think about it too much, I'm just saying it important to know it because her fighting style, "Protected by her sword and shield" is very unusual. We can agree to disagree on it's value.

You're probably right, her weapon was probably given to her with Sophie's soul inside it somehow so she can watch out for her. That would also explain her being dead while Soul Edge is most likely using her body.
 
What do you guys think Leixia's role in the story is gonna be? The only thing I can think of is trying to save her dad. But will she have any connections to other characters is what I'm wondering.
 
Maybe she's just trying to do what her mother failed to do and destroy soul edge. And maybe Kilik doesn't know who she is and makes an awkward moment when they fight...

And then Tira will conveniently bump into her and they become "frie- wait a minute haven't we done this already? But seriously, Tira's obviously gonna be in EVERYONES story like in 3 if were going to have the map and cutscenes again. "To abandon your children and come all this way? Sheesh, your such a terrible mother!"
 
Has anyone wondered what happened to the original Astaroth? Since the storyline seems to confirm new Astaroths have replaced the original Astaroth. I don't think there was any cannon storylines with SC4 Astaroth being defeated or anything.

He might of been destroyed one way or another only to have another Astaroth already built but not yet brought to life. Each time prefecting him until he creates the greatest golem.

The first character revealed by Namco Bandai is a brand new female character called Leixia and her father is General Yan Wujin of the Ming Empire. Her mother is Chai Xianghua and she also has a younger brother named Leixin. Leixia uses a Chinese Sword named Ten Feet of Blue and fights using the secret arts of the Ling-Sheng Su Style Sword which were taught to her by here mother.

am I the only one bothered by the fact that Kilik is *not* the father?

so Xianghua got together with a offscreen NPC <__<... Poor kilik... ill-fated indeed.

Maybe this general raised Leixia as his daughter but Kilik is the biological father and Xianghua thought he died so she married some other guy so Leixia could have a father figure in her life. She might have Kilik's necklace as an heirloom from her real dad.

So Nightmare seems to have a new host that is NOT Sophitia. What then is Tira's role in the story? Is she still looking for hosts even though Nightmare already has one? Who exactly is the new host?

I'm going to take a guess and say that Nightmare's new host is Hilde's father. We don't know what happened to him after he went missing. Someone mentioned in another thread that Nightmare has created his own private army. What if Hilde's dad had been building up this army for the last 17 years as Nightmare in order to fully revive Soul Edge so he can establish a new kingdom that takes up the entire world? Can you imagine that? He has become the demon that his old kingdom had feared for so long. Hilde is forced to stand against her own father for the sake of the kingdom he founded.

This is all entirely 100% guessing.
 
Tira's probaly just working behind the scenes... You know, slitting throats, cutting hearts out, offering their soul to SE, burning them in the fires of hell.... Nothing new.
