Soulcalibur VI General Roster Speculation Thread

Just to play Devil's Advocate here but we know LoS has similar artwork scenes to the Soul Chronicle ones, based on that screen with Zasalamel talking to/about the player character.

(Though I still believe Azwel will have his own soul chronicle as it's a good chance for people to get to know a brand new character and as much exposure as possible helps in that.)

I would bet completion of Libra is required to even get access to Azwel. Wasn't Algol locked under similar circumstances in both 4 and 5?

Main chars deal with Inferno or whatever, CaS chars deal with Azwel.

Basically how i saw it. If they handle the story like that, they dont need to be concerned with retcons. "Not recorded in history books" can just mean it isn't common knowledge and those involved dont discuss it.

I sure as hell hope there's a new female character EEE!!! I would be okay with a new female character and them dumping Setsuka and Cassandra and Hilde and Amyola in DLC (though one of them should also be in base).

I can't wait for the game to arrive with more character slots than 25. The rule of 25 is the worst assumption in regard to predicting a roster that I've ever seen. Additionally, Markman said that the 25 slots may not be the final number.

Go ahead and waste time with 25...your prerogative.

I know that, bro. I just thought I’d join in on the fun. I myself have been annoyed with people acting like a demo screen is the ultimate final roster that can’t be changed.

I hope this 25 demo screen is intentionally deceptive, to get people's hypes up and then once the slots are full, they will surprise us with a few more characters hehe

That is the opposite of hype. If they wanted us to have hype, they would have shown us more blank slots than just adding the three to the corners. I wholeheartedly believe that MarkMan's comment was indicating that the center slot would unlock and that three more slots would be added for DLC, and that's really all we will get. If it's more than that, then that's great, but I'm not expecting anything more than this, because I don't want to be disappointed.

I doubt we're going to be staring at three blank slots for months. Also, take into account a likely Season 2.

The screen is definitely not final, especially since the character creation slot isn't featured in there. But I always assume for the worst to save myself from disappointment. I honestly expect 22 characters at launch including Tira and Inferno. Cervantes and Raphael should be announced soon.
If I'm lucky, I am wrong and Hwang at least makes it in the base roster. Aeon (dual axes) should be in too.

The leak is considered legit and credible at this point right? So we already know who is on the base roster. Its DLC that is still up in the air.

There's the mystery of whether Hwang and Aeon/Lizardman being in or not. It was mostly VA based afaik.
