Super High-Level In Your Face TIERLIST!!!

I know I'm late 2 da partay but, seriously, I can't find any tierlist (das not a wurd lol) thread that I can post in and I never got to share my opinion. If possible, I want this to be a discussion because I want to talk about everyone's perspective and actually like to hear this stuff (so, if we can, no close, please). I mean, I know people get angry for whatever reason but that's just another spice of life, right?

I'd like it if, rather than posting you guyseses own that you criticize mine. Now, I understand that might not always be the case but I'd at least like for the topic to start off that way so that I can give a chance to give some reasoning. But, please, be direct in your criticism and questioning; it's much harder to answer the question, "Why is *X* here?" as opposed to answering, "Why is *X* here and not here?" or "Why is *X" here instead of *Y*?"

Well alpha isn't fun to fight thanks to synraii showing me what he was capable of....lets see rugi and cervantes my god are not fun to fight at ALL...F**k them big time...and xeph is right about yoshi and I been maining yoshi since sc4. Spacing just gives him big trouble even if he properly spaces himself the lost of his old 6A and 44A+b were big.

i find cervy really fun and easy to use, but he uses gunshots, so i cant pick him.

 

Clearly noone read LP's post. With that said i think you've put Tira too high on that list.

Pyrrha O vs. Nightmare is worse than Pyrrha O vs. Siegfried. She beats Siegfried 7-3, not 8-2. He has an easier time poking her safely than Nightmare does.

 

How do you guys see Devil Jin? I don't think I've ever seen a reasonable post regarding how our one banned style is regarding tier placement. It's always "oh he's a gamebreaker" or "lol Devil Jin." I'm very curious.

Agreed with most of this. I play Tira so I raise eyebrows at A tier, but I admit that in theory she has some things that could make her toptier, so I won't argue.

I'm starting to think Leixia isn't as bad as I thought (unless most players accross Europe simply haven't bothered to learn the matchup properly, which is possible), so maybe she could be B tier.

I don't see why Pyrrha is in a separate tier, I'd put her with Pat Nat and Yoshi.

I'm starting to think Nightmare might be a bit weaker than the other B tier characters, as he is a bit limited once you know your optimal choices against his options, and has some horrible matchups.

I think that Maxi, ZWEI and Xiba could be in a B- tier, maybe even C tier.

Why do all the European players put Algol in top? Is there a European Algol player I'm not aware of that's tearing shit up?

Anyways I'm going to compile a list of averages based on the rankings given here to see what the general consensus is.

 

This thread is doing pretty good, I think cause no one is actively trying to troll it yet. Anyway my personal list, on a scale of S to D. Speaking of which, i think we need to decide on a universal scale we can all use, otherwise we're going to be getting some bizarre categories.

Without stepping on casuals toes, it would probably be good if only tourney players would post their lists or else this thread might end up like it usually does. No offense to anybody but it is just easier to keep things clean when we know the player actually has some sort of credibility, like having attended a major or anything of that kind.

I also agree with taffertier that all people should stick to the same formula like S, A, B, C.

Honestly it's cause i was having such a hard time trying to decide where he should go, I think he fits solidly in C tier though. Maybe B. Like i said, the disparity between the tiers isnt great.

Edit: Upon further investigation, i think i need to switch around my tier list. Especially if we're going to be doing a 4 ranked tier system.

Wait, i didnt get the impression the placement of the chars in one tier were meant to be ranked but you give them numerical values. You should only go for an average S, A, B, C aso.

 

@ Ring- Imo ezio has to go atleasts C tier...no not D tier once again ezio is a char people don't play alot and don't know alot about him.

@ Reptile- Yeah you're in a tier of your own. But i put aeon at a B then again dunno not a top player, But i refuse to believe he is at the bottom and not just because I played u lol

@chaos K- Agreed. Think its better and more interesting to just see top players put down the list. If i made a list tho..i put siegfried at bottom just to see your reaction lol :p

Also what makes you believe that ZWEI deserves to be a spot higher than Raph?
