T6BR tier list

Have you tried using CD 3 or 3~4 against tech rollers? I think it bounds so that you can set up another combo.

Also Laser Scraper/Cannon is nigh impossible to land anymore.

For rollers, i just WDC as they try to roll away to play a lil mind game with em. HS or ff+2? Unless i hit with an EOD, in which case if they roll, i use d/f+1+2 to get a B!

And for Laser Scraper, it really is nearly impossible to hit, but i just use the first two hits as a mix-up with HS and d/b+2 since it's a NC, and once you've done it enough times, and make your opponent think "oh, he doesn't ever finish it, so let's hit him" you do the last hit and get a CH. Then you follow it up with more WDC shennanigens or go for an unblockable tackle.

So online in this game still sucks and training mode still needs work. If that patch in Dec doesn't fix everything, GG Namco.

The thing is, the matches I played were at 3 bars (yellow) and not that bad - not that bad meaning there was more or less about 5-10frames of lag, but I could complete a 10-hit juggle with Leo that I had embedded into muscle memory. Yes, juggle, not 10-string.

But that good-enough speed was totally ruined by the quitters. Damn them. And I'm pretty sure you can't rank up by way of player matches, only through ranked battle.

Most of the matches ive had online had little to no lag. they were all 4 or 5 bars. only time i lag is 3 bars or less. which i guess is strange cause i play when most of my neck of the woods is asleep

If you're under that impression I suggest you play offline A LOT more often. I almost always have people to play in this game around my area (unlike BB) so I'm playing offline a lot. So much so that online play never comes to mind because I have so many people to play with. When I went to play online for the first time a while ago, I noticed the lag in an instant. The connection was even 5 bars, since I was playing a friend who lived in the same area.

T6's online sucks. I'd even go as far as to say it sucks more than SCIV's if not just as much. Granted I still like the game at it's core (and would even say it's better than SCIV). But there was a lot of fine tuning that was forgotten to make it's overall experience as pleasing as SCIV's package.

I also have no faith in Namco for fixing anything about it outside of the shitty netcode (which isn't even the major issue of the game unless you're a casual gamer). SCIV's training mode literally shits on T6's in reliability. WTF Namco.

I do play offline with some of my friends. Im not saying the online is perfect but its not as bad as ppl make it out to be sometimes. yes there is input delay..hell that comes with most online games in general. It does get to point where it looks like ur playing in slow motion which is annoying as hell. but for the most part my online experience hasnt been that bad...ive actually had games with less lag with ppl that are across the world instead of just right up the street(strange i know). it does need to be fixed but hell even FPS's have delay in what u and ur opponent sees. i know there have been plenty of times when i was like how the hell did i die i was behind that wall...watch the kill cam and turns our he unloaded half a clip into u then u made it behind the wall...to die

lol i agree with u about namco though. they dont take the time fix whats wrong most of the time...a simple patch or even some free DLC would be a quick fix to a lot of the problems with tekken 6 and SCIV

Namco has to reduce the lag to 5 frames or none at all for Tekken to be somewhat respectable online. You can low parry within 5 frames of lag, but more than that, nothing.

This is what pisses me off the most. I just play ghost match for now, but I will never get to fight the higher ranks due to the fact I am stuck at 1st dan. What I love even more is I have 10+ losses from fights where I won, but my opponent disconnects. Not only does this hit me hard on the points + the loss, but I have been demoted 3 times. I stopped online after that, because it's just stupid. Almost every fight is a spammy Asuka, a mashing Eddy, or a lag loving Lili. A complete waste of time.

oddly enough i think ive had ppl disconnect on me twice? Or im not sure if it was an actual disconnection or just T6 screwing up. Either way i dnt think ive been penalized any of those times?

Guess im just lucky.

The way i play online usually depends on how my opponenet plays. If theyre bad but look like theyre trying to learn or sumthing, ill try play properly. If the abuse random BS its CD mixups with Bob and u/f1+2 (amazing how many ppl block the first hit and then get hit with the second) lol.

Also ive had this for nearly every online match. Once the match ends the connection drops to 1 bar. Theres a slight freeze then it goes back to normal... Im sure every1 has this?

When i saw the freeze at first i thought my ps3 was breaking or sum1 was raqequitting lol.

Btw if any1 wants to add me plz do i need sum ppl to play against. Ill probably have better connection with ppl in uk lol

Finally you all feel my pain. I won 11 straight yesterday-- no ranking chance. So I keep going and lose to a lagtastic Lili and Law. Losing two matches automatically gets you a demotion risk?!

So I get matched up with a Law for this aforementioned demotion risk and halfway through I said "Fuck this" and pulled. I know it was immature but I'm sick of all odds being against me in this damn game.

...aaaaaaaaand I just played 5 zero lag matches. At 3 bars. WT0_oF?!

I think it depends on who the hell is hosting. I hosted it for an hour, and all my matches had no lag (against local comp), then when an outsider played, and it was his match with somebody else in the lobby, it turned into an underwater match.

Talk about inconsistent.

If you haven't updated your firmware in a while, you might wanna do that. It can help with the connections and reducing lag. I had a 1-red connection with a friend before and after updating I was able to play him at a 4-green connection. Although it is a pain in the ass to update sometimes. Took me 2.5 hours cuz my firmware update got corrupted the first time. Damn Cisco .bin files had me looking for Daemon tools and that didn't even work until I realized you could just update the firmware through the setup page.

Also, Devil Jin being mid tier is nice in my eyes b/c I picked him up in the first place not b/c cuz he was so top tier, but b/c I love his wavedash mechanics. Being mid tier will stop the complaints from people about him being broken in DR. I think that title can go to Bob now, but even he isn't as broken as DR DJ so T6 is still da awesome.

Megiddo, do you play online much? Maybe we can get some DJ mirrors goin' sometime, but I know this lag will be a big obstacle. I am interested in seeing what strats or techniques we can share.

I hate Devil Jin's spamming FLY and lasers.

I'm not quite sure how to deal with that. I know you can duck, but I'd prefer to counter it somehow and punish them for doing it.

Fought a lagless match against a Bob today. First time I actually fought one like that. I'm not quite sure how to deal with Bob. In that match, I tried to use d/f+1 to poke and interrupt, but couldn't get it off because Bob's jabs continued to beat mine. He did the same pattern of moves over and over and I couldn't win. Just not sure how to punish the guy.

Same with Alisa. Most of my fights with Alisa tend to be really laggy matches with Alisa players zipping all over the place. I can't figure out how to sidestep the attacks and/or block them. And even when I do block them, I can't figure out how to punish them. Her jetpack stuff is supposed to be unsafe, right? So I try to turtle up and wait for mistakes to punish, but can't find them.

Somewhat annoying but a lot of scrubby online players tend to use the 2+4 throw, which means using 2 to escape. Unfortunately, it's exactly the opposite of what I've been taught when it comes to escaping throws. Not to mention, these guys don't vary their throws, which means I'm always caught in the dang throw.

Can't even remember the first tackle escape... before you're floored.

Windstar, I can give you some quick pointers:

DJ's FLY into unblockable: Duck it.
DJ's standing lasers: Duck it.
DJ's FLY lasers: Sidestep or sidewalk (safer) it.
DJ's lasers on recovery: Dash or wavedash (preferably if your char has it) up and punish or launch him depending on distance. The recovery is ridiculously bad so you should be able to get something in...offline that is.

Bob's pokes are really good. So don't feel bad if you feel locked down. Backdash canceling works well in general against any kind of character poking lockdown. I have more specific stuff, but it's gettin late so I'm gonna eat and maybe tackle this another time.

Alisa is the new online Lili of T6. She seems so safe cuz of lag and she has lots of abuseable lag tactics. I even started an anti-Alisa thread in TZ cuz I had trouble with her stuff. You can try looking there for some starters.

Something new I learned recently is if they tackle you, you have 2 options:

Break the tackle: Press 2.
Reverse the tackle: Press 1+2.

How do you do iWR attacks without buffering them in during attacks? I occasionally see Korean players throw them out while just standing there. Tapping f 3 times doesn't seem to work. ffF+whatever also doesn't work.

I'd really like to know how to do this since I main Dragunov and Bruce who both benefit GREATLY from their running attacks. Bruce's iWR+3 leaves you at a massive +10 or so on block, and I think everyone knows how Dragunov benefits from his iWR attacks.

Paragon049, I know exactly what you mean as I used to wonder the same thing before. The execution of iWR attacks is basically the same as a dashing jab or King's iSW. As I mentioned in an earlier post, the way I see it breaking down is if you can do King's iSW, you can do whatever else afterwards like dashing jabs or iWR attacks. King's iSW is the hardest in my opinion so after practicing that for a while, I found I was able to do the rest with more ease.

Anyways, the way I do it just think of the iWR attack like a dashing jab (ffn1), but instead of pressing 1 you press f+attack (ffnf+attack, e.g. ffnf+3). Remember the neutral is critical. Just try doing a dashing jab without the neutral and you will fail so this is the same for the iWR attack.

Some people do it straight out like fff+attack, but I mess up when I do that. It's probably more instantaneous too if you can do it like that (like that YouTube video of some dude doing a perfect iSW), but I'm less of a perfectionist these days so I just settle with ffnf execution for now. ffnf works with iSW combos so while not the fastest, it's still pretty fast.

Thanks for the tip. I can't do it just yet, but i'll keep practicing.

Really never knew Bob was that good. I knew he was the best in T6 but after the nerf i thought steve + law (and maybe bryan dunno) were the best. ANyway any1 know a recent tier list?
Btw can any1 reccommend a character for me?

I play Bob and law atm but feel im not getting much better and wan't sum1 else. But unlike SCIV almost every char i pick up has sum hard input or combo that i just can't do. (I suck at wavedashing) I h8 asuka as well and wan't sum1 who is easy to play well and can be easily played well on a high level too...

Also how do i continuosly wavedash? Im playing on pad and usually only do single wavedashes on the dpad. When i watch vids of other tekken players they do things like backdash into a forward wavedash and it barely looks like they dash at all the dash move just comes out so damn quick. Also how the hell are ppl doing it so fast it just looks like their bobbing?

The fastest i can do on d pad looks rubbish and it kills my thumbs.

I don't think many people here place ANY stock in what their online ranking is, lol. The lag is annoying sure, but the rest of that is completely inconsequential to almost everyone here.

I definitely wouldn't play online to rank but its the only choice I have. Hopefully that "patch" resolves the not being able to rank offline issues.
