T6BR tier list

My brother already has a copy of this waiting at the house for me. Still, I plan on picking up Zafina as a main (Yeah, I know she's considered the worst character in the game) and I know everyone else will be eons ahead of me because I honestly didn't start understanding Tekken until 5 and still didn't play much. Still, can someone give me an in-depth character analysis for her. Once again, I know she's low tier and all (and I plan on supporting the Tekken 6 tournament scene as much as I can =P), but, honestly, she's the only character I really feel compelled to play if I play this game.
 
I'm surprised about Zaf. I figured since everyone was talking about her and her Voldo-esque style before the game came out, that she'd be pretty popular, but she's the only character that I haven't seen anyone play at all in the 400 or so matches I've played.

I already have an account at TZ and have read most of the topics in the Zafina forum over the last couple of months; I was specifically asking for you all's opinions. I know people usually can't wait to test out newer characters (though that's changing with more and more fighting game players using the Internet...), so I want to get opinions about first-runs/people who aren't seasoned with her yet, especially if, like Y said, no one's been using her even online.
 
I just wrote out a long post then it didn't post oh well gues ill do it again -_-....

So i'm currently maining Miguel atm and do fairly well with him. I randomly added sum ppl in the UK from TZ for some practice. I did fairly well against the majority on decent and suprised i could actually win. What annoys me tho is i do decent against good players but get destroyed by scrubs.

I tried ranked and my first 3 games i lost to sum of the stupidist shit ever. About to win a match going for oki mixup or w/e and guy doing that spring jump or w/e, random jin doing dmging string then sum quick unseeable low + some move where they drop on you (i bet theres even a combo of it -_-), and ofc jab + throw. Whats even more annoying is it seems I have to play like a scrub to beat them.

Normally i'll do mixups set ups etc. Sidestep then hope for that hopkick backdash and hope for a whiff. But it just doesn't seem to work with scrubs. Funny thing happened in ranked a day ago. Got owned by sum random law spammer. Tried furiously hard just to win a few rounds. Then i play him again and managed to own him straight away doing nothing but:

backdash d+1+2, 1,2 1+2, random tackles.... ugh

Now its not like i care about ranked but i just dnt like the fact i can beat good players but a scrub beats me. ANyway GG's to the following random ppl I added on TZ.

RevovlerTurles: I was suprised i didnt get totally owned by this guy and could do fairly well. I won quite a few matches and it was a fun experience.

The_Prohpet_UK: I got completely ownd by him. First game he used paul. I just got rushed down and my health disappeared so quickly. Then i managed to get a few launches in and won a few rounds. My first match i lost but did decent. After that it was just a 10 game lose streak for me and coming close to winning a round then getting ownd by rage mode.

He's a gr8 player and i learned a lot.

Btw ppl please add me i need ppl to play against.

lol my first three online matches were against zafina users...and good ones to, they wrecked me xD but shes actually a pretty impressive character and im considering learning her

Online etiquette should just be to laugh and have a sense of humor about online's shortcomings. If mans is gettin salty for losing to throws or 10 strings online, stop playing online. There is no real solution to this.
 
Zafina is definitely a weird char in the Tekken universe. Against scrubs, just abuse her knockdown lows until they start wisening up and throw in some mids. That's basically how I learn a char from the ground up since I feel it's the most effective way of getting a feel of her tools. Like f2,3, [df]3 or tarantula low (d1+2?) and d/b4,1? Yeah, real rusty with the notation, but I think you get the idea.

And people flip out over online way too often. I don't care if someone abuses etiquette against me as I feel relieved to finally be able to throw. 90% of the time I play this game I'm doing work or running errands so i def. dont care whether you throw or 10 string me to death...real life is tough enough without having to worry about an online loss

I played some Zafs online. She's really predictable, and she gets punished alot for it.
Ditch Zaf, pick a REAL character...

For saying this, I will pick up Zafina as my first character. She's a weak character, but I've seen some vids and I think people are playing her wrong. I'll find out by this weekend.

I actually gave Zaf a go yesterday.

She really does suck. I even compared her moves to the Arcadia frame list, and man... she's like the hoe of T6: she's always wide open.

That said, she looks like a fun character to customize.

Also, it's awesome to actually be in an area with a great Tekken community. I've been to 2 tournys so far and it's been great. I'm getting really good experience from this. I just wish the players weren't so damn high level. Rip, Kane, Alexman and all these other pros were there today X_X
 
I'm trying to learn bruce but failing hard. Like his staple of df2 is f3 then f4,3,4? Right or sumthing along those lines? Doesn't really matter but either way the move your meant to do after f3 whiffs so randomly. Also wot do ppl mean when they say 3CD1? Im guessing it means do crouch dash then a move ofc. I've seen it in vids but i can just about do CD1 after a combo then i cnt CD again to get another hit in.

Do 3,3 after launcher then f+4,3,4. To do 3CD1 you do 3,2~f+1 to get 3CD1.
 
Can u do d/f2, 33, f+4,3,4~f1 B! ? I normally just do d/f2, f+4,3,4~f1 B! (~ is hold forward not roll into forward...just too lazy to type the actual notation)

EDIT: messed up my bound move so updated accordingly

d/f+2, f+3, f+4,3,4, MTS f+1, B!, walk/dash 3CD1, 3CD2
 
sumthing cool i've just noticed. My 2 year old sixaxis's d-pad is so messed up and loose that i can wavedash and qcf without even having to do the correct input.

When you press one button in a certain way then the other buttons move at the same time so:

I can wavedash by doing f,n,d
I can qcf (ppl like feng and leo) by just hitting down diagonally xD

I tried this on my new dualshock and it doesn't work. Downside is tho you can't quickly wavedash or owt since the buttons are too loose. I can wavedash better and quicker on the DS tho.
