Tekken Tag Tournament 2: Unlimited

Neat, still trying to figure out how to attack with Jun though. Started playing Jin for endings, fits like an old glove. Shame I can't do any combos with him. And I have no idea ho to approach his DJ self.

So I thinking of dropping JC, as her sample combos feel pretty tough to do. I was able to do one of Jun's lengthier sample combos (I think it was combo 4), so I think I want to focus on her and Lili for now. But I'm rather uncertain what attacks to use with Lili. I've generally used d/f+2 and d/f+3+4 and just some random combo filler, but I'm not sure what else works. Asuka also seems like a quality candidate, but I feel there might be some redundancy and too much similarity in strategy that would be easy to predict.
Hi! Former Lili main here (dropped Tekken for DOA because screw you Korean backdash). I wouldn't recommend using df+2 as a poke because it's negative on block. df+3+4 is OK for poking but it's linear. I like to do df+3+4 BT 3+4 to catch them off guard which you can combo off of I believe. Lili's two main mixup pokes I used were df+1 and d+3. They're both safe (I think) and not that linear (I think).

Her 236+1 is good because you can go BT from here into shenanigans like BT d+3+4 or BT 1,2 or BT 3+4. Also, BT 1+4 high and low crushes.!

I hope this helped. :) look up kane on youtube. He's a brilliant top Lili player.

Just got this game.. So confusing omg.
I don't know how to do those launchers that bring in the partner because there's nothing in training -.-
I hate this game might take it back for DOA5.. Then again I might keep it for Lili & Anna(Her octopus costume tho..)...

Before I return it anyone wanna play on xbox?

play that combot mini game. that should get you used to the system controls.

The movelists do tell you what moves track, and moves that tag your partner in. You have to hit the tag button at the same time with the appropriate move.

But yes, the Combot side thing is good to figure things out.

Anna's bonus costume is the best lbr.

Correction, they tell you which moves launch and which moves bound.. Red for launch and green for bound.. Pressing tag at the same time as a bound allows for a tag assault.. It's worth noting that you can use actual tag combos if you get the buffering down when wanting to save your red life(for regen).. Those do comparable damage, depending if the team you use has good synergy..

Is Ancient Ogre beginner friendly? I'm kinda liking his imposing image. I wonder if he makes a good tag partner for Jin?

No, Ancient Ogre is not beginner-friendly. His overall playstyle (NOT fighting style) is kind of like a mixture of Lee and traditional Mishimas: he has good poking ability and can do pretty solid damage off of a whiff punish.

Ancient Ogre has several problems, however. For one, he is rather large, so if you get punished near a wall you are going to eat a shitload of damage AND have a hard time dealing with okizeme. Also, his move list is just cobbled up from other characters, most of which are notorious for being difficult to play, and some of these moves either don't mix with each other because they're not compatible, because of Ogre's large frame, or for other technical reasons. For example, Ogre doesn't have a wavedash, but he does possess some Mishima moves. Without the wavedash, their utility becomes rather diminished in favor of the originals.

use the legend in training to know what those icons like the bound and tag icons mean

might be too late, but i am
Yeah I actually learned those last night. I understand that the green icon stands for a tag assault while the red means launcher switch I believe. I didn't figure out what the blue icon means though unless it really is just for side steeping opponents.

Blue icon means tracking moves.. Green is bound and red is launcher which you have the option of TAing the former and tagging in for a combo with the later... Quick note, certain stuns allow for a quick tag in as well..

He is not begginer friendly and has less range on some of his moves on top of that. If you wanna learn the character still and get more info on him here's a podcast talking about him and his pros and cons mostly cons however which sucks.
