What would we do to improve SCIV

everyone needs to hush with the hate. This isn't an SRK board... but OP, you should really look up in Astaroth's forum. He really isn't all that bad inside. If he was horrible inside..then he'd be trash cuz its too easy to get close to him. that being said, sounds more like you are posting more about needing help with astaroth than about what additions could help SC4 or shhwhatever.

try to post a comment if its about Aataroth in the Astaroth section though (and let the Board monsters deal with it as they need to/see fit over there...lol). Otherwise, everyone have a fantabulous day :) err... last bits of night and THEN day :)

What to do to improve SCIV?
Well for starters...FRIGGEN TAG MATCH ALREADY!?

I hate it when I am playing with friends and everytime I try to not do my best I still beat them. And they all hate the game now (except for online...good job Namco). They already have character switching in it for gods sake. Just some minor balance thingies and we are ready to roll.

On a more personal note: I hate oki-games. But that's because I am coming from DoA 4 wich has an immune to everything wake-up kick. I know that if you do that in SCIV it will break some characters(*cough* MITSURUGI *cough*) but still...I hate it xD.

Also I think that if we are balancing the game anyway, you should give all chars a usefull Auto-GI. Usefull Just Frames (Seong-Mina). And also give every char a usefull mix-up. No matter wich character you play then, if you are good skilled you can utilize those 3 things well and still win.

And yeah this is a bit of a "Buff Lower tier" post.

Worst idea ever, the fun in the game comes with the diversity of gameplay. Each chararacter has strengths, try to use them.

i respectfuly disagrea on this one. are u going to give taki some extra range too then? auto-GI is one of the things that make those chars special. if you start giving every char one you can start doing a lot of those things (a good punisher, soul gauge damage dealer,...) and every char will end up quite the same.

i agree with you on the tag team mode. why didn't they just make a extra mode out of it since it is already in the game. the number of possibilities would be so much bigger and imagine the insane switch combo's people would come up with. I think they didn't do it because they had to draw the line somewhere because that to had to split up in a special tag team mode and a standard one. still a shame though...

Nothing really... pretty good game, only thing i could suggest is; give everyone that bought Yoda their 5 bucks back(PS3) and take him out of the game. Give 360 owners Darth free and take Yoda out. What a broke ass character, i dont have problems beating him, but god is he annoying.

I agree...and didnt even buy yoda and i regret getting him...I never use him, and wen ppl see me go over his spot onlin they say "Oh u hav yoda, u most know how to fite against him" then they pick him. :-/

But other than that bring Team Tag or Team Battle online, or make rooms to at least 6 ppl online...

I would give it a meaningful, interactive tutorial with Olcadan like there was in SC III to teach beginners the basics like ducking highs, steping verticals, and blocking throws, along with complexities like JF, Ukemi, and mix-ups.

And I'd allow retry's for ranked matches if both parties agreed.

i also miss the taunts in the versus window. i always liked those, especially those ennoying laughs you could do with xianghua or ivy.

Astaroth is a great character...you just need to learn how to use him right. I have no clue how to do it but I've seen people and Astaroth is scary in the right hands.

As for making it better. Give us SC3 campaign. For online give us SC2 arcade (train an AI and fight for territories!). Tag match already! Fix Hilde! Buff the crappier characters. Fix whiffing issues. Update with more items and some more special mode percs (i like special mode :/). COMPLETELY REDO RANKED!

Ranked should have a weight based on level. This will stop cherry picking cold! Also we will stop seeing the top 10 occupied by scrubs who just piss away their life on the game and dont get better. NO offense if you are top 10...but most of you are bad. Also award points for how you win! First hit, Ro, CF, etc... have a ton so that people who win using advanced methods get even more points...making Mitsu and Cervy lag spammers get less! Hide level on ranked search. Have the ability to mark a player to not play again (sometimes that 5 connection plays like a 3 and i dont want a repeat lag loss). Repeatedly beating the same person lessens the amount gained until you lose to them. And most importantly...no Custom characters. Why??? Well it may sound nit picky but there are a few cheap things to do with a custom. pick a guy fully buffed up and give him baggy clothes and place him on the side with back turned. Next give him a weapon that makes a weird sound when striking (doesn't clang!). You now have a character that barely telegraphs movement till its too late because the limbs are covered and timing punish is hard because the sound will throw off your timing. sounds silly but i have lost to these very tactics. I could not be a joke weapon Raph because I couldn't time the punish with the stupid fairy wand sound. And I lost to an Astaroth in baggy cloths because i couldn't see the knee come up.

Yeah those were pretty cool. And I wish a weapon select screen when picking your character.

Have you seen Star wars II and III? He was like Über against Douku and awsome against emperor.
 
Lol i thought this thread was a bit familiar yet different didn't know they merged the guys thread who wanted astaroth to do better upclose lol.
