I still think we're going to get a possessed Sophitia as a boss. Afterall Daishi DID tweet about female bosses being rare and cool, and I agree with that.

The helmet does look Gundam-ish, but overall I like this design A LOT, he looks badass and menacing and BIG and that's the whole point with Nightmare IMO, he's had some past incarnation when he looked kind of thin, and this look fits him really nicely.

I do hope the tweak his style big time tho. I've played him a fair lot in SC4 and BD and the never felt quite "right" or "meaty" enough.
 
Heh the Nightmare will never end...It seems like I got my main back. To all those thinking it could be Sophie, may be, may be not but i truly believe the short sword forms of Soul Calibur / Soul Edge reflect Pat/ Pyrr. I could be wrong i admit but it, to me at least seems like the more reasonable conclusion

He's head gear reminds me of Sophie's 2p costume in SC4, and his claw hand has a small shield embedded in it.
 
For the record, this Nightmare is taller than Siegfried now (178 cm to 172 cm). Who knows if it'll show up in game but he's the same height as Raphael now.

How tall was Rothion? HA

I'm pretty sure his helmet is modeled after SC2's Nightmare. And how does a glowing yellow org resemble a shield?

Regardless, the fact he has a Zweihander pretty much rules out the Sophitia debate. Regardless, all that matters is that he will have a similar moveset.

Was there a general dislike for Nightmare's appearance in SCIV? I thought it looked quite menacing.

Maybe I'm stretching things here, but Nightmare's helmet seems a lot like Sophie's 2p costume's...could just be a coincidence. Anyway, I hope he/she/it will be hitting harder than ever, loved the force behind agA and b:a from the stance whose name I can't recall right now. Loved to play an aggressive Nighty so I'm hoping the moveset complements that kind of style. In short, I'm excited : )
 
I think SC2 nightmare with his japanese voice was really nightmare! I'm not going to say anything until I play with SCV nighty.
