Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3

I watched the dark phoenix video, with activated x-factor she's a beast; the damage she inflicts and how much her gauge fills up is insane. Of course, it's situational, I would like to see these without x-factor. Her healing orb healed her quickly, was that because of x-factor as well?

Reading the comments on eventhubs I noticed somebody said Jennifer Hale, Tira, does Phoenix. Just looked it up in imbd.com

I honestly thought Tira's voice actress was somebody kinda goth or something.
 
holy shit guys some of the posts on the previous page are WAY too long. I hope you don't expect more than 2 people to actually read them
 
A few characters have ways to dash through projectiles and can beat them with hypers. Also try super jumping in with a dash. Arthur can't dash himself so once you're over him, he can't book it to the other side like other characters. Hsien-ko's assist should be able to reflect his projectiles but i think it disperses after the first one so im not sure how useful it will be.

what's your team that might help.

Just saw that captain america's shield charge will push through multiple projectiles...

Well... I don't have a SET team yet. but right now I'm pretty comfortable with Amaterasu and Zero. I did see a good maneuver with zero where he Super Jumps, air dashes and then does his command movement (what ever it's called) It seemed to get him a lot of the time too

Ammy can jump and do her vine dash and cancel into attacks and zero has a few areal dash moves. I don't think they have anything to pass through projectiles tho so you may need to cover with an assist to jump in. Zero may be able to win the projectile war with his clone hyper but i have no idea. ammy can also slow time and that may give you the edge you need to get in on Arthur and not be met in the air with his projectiles as you try to get in.

I'll come back to this when I have the game tomorrow. I haven't played zero or ammy so i have no idea if arthur can deal with jump ins if he's tied down by an assist
 
GS MvC3 tournament today! Nyahahahaha.

I'll either pick Arthur/Storm/Phoenix or Zero/Trish/Ammy.

I'm goin X-23/ Wolverine/ Ryu.

Ryu is simple, and X/wolv I can just keep pressure and hope for something good. Lots of diving in and Berserker slash auto cross ups. Don't wanna risk super skrull since i dont really have him down (nor anyone ^_^). I need to start looking at combos so I'm not just going L, M, H , S, L, M, H, S for every hit confirm. Hope they let me peek at the guide before we start, Still oblivious to most my specials properties.
 
event hubs has a few moves listed that details some special properties. You might wanna look there for anti-projectile specials, or mvoement options.
 
I hear it has like 4 buttons going for it? Like weak medium and heavy and special? Is this true? If it is then I'm going to be playing this shit like its BB
 
Just came back from the tournament. I learned a couple of things.

1. Hate the 360 controller. Will never play fighting games on it. EVER.

2. MvC3 is definitely a far cry from MvC2. I honestly doubt even mashers will have an easy time with the game. Movement feels really tight, and newbies will really be predictable.

3. New 3 attack layout will take some getting used to. Even SC4 has a dedicated button for kicks, horizontals and verticals.

4. I WANT to use Phoenix. Even without knowing a single move, Dark Phoenix damage and movement is INSANE. >:D
 
LOL sora...i just got back from the midnight release "party" and tourney at my local walmart. there were two of us there, and we did two matches on 360 shitpad.

i won a tshirt and a lanyard! i rock!
 
Haha. At least you got SOMETHING.

I quit on the last mini tournament - they were awarding the winner with a copy of the game. But it was so obvious that some players already hacked their 360 to play it, so I was outclassed already. The 360 controller made it THAT much worse.
