Viola Story

She may have a different weapon and amnesia, but Viola looks like Amy, speaks like Amy, and dresses like Amy. Therefore, to me, she is Amy. Raphael even says her name when fighting her and says something to the effect of "Come to your senses!" when he loses or something like that.

I got SCV the other day, and Viola says something like this when she beats Raph.

The Moon will swallow the Sun and never rise again. I don't remember the whole thing exactly.

Also when you fight Raphael he says, "You vex me, woman. Who are you?" and according to the wiki, when Viola is bitten during his throw he says, "Strange...?"

I'm guessing (and hoping) there is going to be a DLC in the near future to extend the story.

So even though im 99% viola = amy i decided to come up with some random ludacris story where that is not true.

so in the next game (unless they make stories for other characters as DLC) raphael is continuing his search for amy when he stumbles upon viola and zwei... raphael tells viola that she is amy because of her appearance and because she has no knowledge of what really is her past decides to go away with raphael and takes this role as amy to see if she can find any connection to her past... meanwhile amy comes back to raphael after being away doing something (idk she got kidnapped?) she however encounters viola first who has begun to like being amy and therefore tries to kill amy however right before she kills amy raphael stabs her in the back and kills her and he disposes of the body... zwei is wandering around now without viola where he stumbles upon something from viola's past (something idk a relative) and realizing she is really not amy as raphael says goes to tell her the truth.... he goes to raphael's only to find he has killed viola and goes rampid and kills raphael .... and leaves, thus making amy a new storyline of revenge on zwei for killing raphael (and for the creators getting rid of any clone characters raphael is dead therefore amy can come back, idk about viola... maybe zwei goes looking for soul calibur or soul edge to bring her back to life?)

idk just trying to be creative without saying amy = viola

With Viola being HEAVILY speculated as Amy, while Raphael is rumored to be the physical host of Nightmare, I can see their story to be quite interesting in future installments.

I want see Raphael's face when he saw his "Amy" (if he will know that Amy is Viola xD) in Z.W.E.I Big Arms xD
But what is happend when Viola never remind who she is?

So I hacked into the FBI, and apparently Viola is Amy's sister :sc5vio1:. Whew. Please come back in SC6 with your Rapier Ms Sorel.:sc4amy1:

Clearly she is Algol's great-great (times by x) grand-daughter.

She has an association with astral bodies.
Algol does too.
She has a magical orb.
Algol does too.
She has weirdly styled white hair.
Algol does too.
She wears strange clothing.
Algol... Uh. Yeah.

Therefore it is clearly obvious that it is obviously clear that in no way can there be doubt that my theory is or is not possibly correct perhaps.

First of all, Ivy WILL NEVER have children. Despite what hentai and people tell you, no man is worthy of Ivy's vajayjay. Next Viola is Amy

My Theory

"______ " that is all

I think that there are many things that should be taken into consideration under the theory that Viola is Amy. I would like to mention that although Raphael had managed to become infected with the essence of Soul Edge, Amy, as far as we know, only managed to come into contact with Raphael's infected blood upon her bare flesh opposed to it infecting her blood stream.

I don't really know how that may affect her in turn, but I think it's very possible that Soul Edge's influence had managed to make the pigmentation in both her skin and her hair moderately lighter as time progressed. Since it's never been confirmed that she has vampire traits similar to what Raphael does, only fan speculations, I think that she most certainly has not been separated from the aging process; but perhaps, it has been slowed down considerably?

Some speculate that if Viola was Amy, Raphael would have noticed her relatively quickly. From what we gather from the story, Raphael has no recollection of what had occurred prior to being locked away within a holding cell, so it's possible that he had been unconscious for the 17 whole years leading up to Soul Calibur V. He also seems to remember things that occurred before he was unconscious, so he may not even be aware that so much time had passed. It could have felt like he just awoke from a short dream, for example.

If we assume Viola is Amy, there would be plenty of physical differences:

1.) She lost the childish 'chubbiness' in her cheeks in favour of a more toned, mature appearance.

2.) Her hairstyle and hair colour remained elegant, but became more suitable towards one of her age.

3.) She had naturally grown taller and began to mature into a young woman; whilst some features aren't as elaborate as some of the other characters, she had most certainly began to go through the stages of puberty.

Not only that, but Raphael would more than likely be in a state of panic and confusion at everything he encountered mixed in with his want to find his beloved daughter. Viola speaks in riddles and appears as a cold, uncaring woman; Raphael would possibly be used to Amy showing at least some form of affection towards him. Basically, Viola and Amy would have practically very different personalities towards him.

That always brought another question to mind, though. I wanted to know how or why Amy would have gotten powers like that; so, I did a little research.

Viola's Critical Edge is entitled "Arcanum Azarael". Directly translated, the result would translate to "The Secret Of Azarael"; an interesting fact is that in religious mythology, Azrael (rarely credited as Azarael) is known as the archangel of death who is an embodiment of evil.

I think that it's a very interesting relation corresponding to Viola's character and her background, especially when taking into account her special abilities. Upon using her Critical Edge, she channels her magic into her crystal orb which in turn slowly pulls the enemy towards it; I think that makes a fantastic metaphorical representation that death is unavoidable and is constantly pulling those who live into it's dark embrace, no matter how they try and avoid it. Considering Viola's power of being able to see into people's future, regardless of whether or not she speaks to them about false states of happiness and truth, it's an interesting concept to think that she could be considered as a messenger of death that judges all that roam the earth.

The heavy burden of understanding what the purpose of life to a certain individual would be, for example, would weigh constantly against her own shoulders. Especially since she finds it difficult to see into her own soul.

Since Soul Calibur has a series of implementing historical and religious context into the story, could it be possible Viola may have gained her powers from something/someone like that? Does anybody have any thoughts?

Well. That is quite possibly the most awesome thing I have ever read.
My personal theory, is also that Viola is Amy, and like ArmorAstrum said, we don't really know if Amy is a vampire or not. Perhaps the infected blood on bare skin could have seeped through (Its possible, it is evil after all), then it may have took years to properly infect her, giving her immortality at a later age than when she originally received the blood. It is also possible that she never achieved immortality, and instead her aging slowed considerably.

How she got her weapon, well that could be Amy had left in search of Raphael during Soul Calibur IV, and had become lost. In this time, she either found the orb and it infected her with magic powers, also altering her appearance, or the orb may have found her. I know the last sentence sounds incredibly lame, but its possible that the orb was brought to her or she was brought to the orb by something (e.g. Her being offered a sacrifice, then the orb gave magic powers to Amy.) If she were kidnapped, it would also explain why she woke up in a "place smelling of flowers", because she was left there after the ritual was complete. The orb could have also wiped Amy of her memories.

How Raphael got Amy's weapon for Soul Calibur 5 (Though this part may seem worthless, depending on if you count bonus weapons important to the story at all), may be that Raphael was mad at Amy for leaving, and took her weapon to ensure that she would not leave. Amy still did leave, even without a weapon. Without a weapon, it is also more likely for her to have been kidnapped and used in a ritual for the orb.
