I don't hate humanity over violence, I hate it over stupidity. And this is nothing new, I've hated stupid people since forever.

times like this make me think about the plans i'd have for the world if i was the facist ruler. that boy would be instantly apprehended by my soldiers, he'd be tranquilized, and he'd be taken to a facility where he'd have his genitals removed. then, on his face he would have some sort of symbol tatooed that would let everyone know he is an indecent human being. then, he'd be sent into forced labor to do the jobs in society that nobody else wants to do for many years. then he'd be sent back into society after his sentence is up. if he violates again, he'll be hunted down by the soldiers a second time and sent to work in captivity in my world nation for the rest of his life.

That's quite inhumane... if you really believe that what you're doing is just or right than in a sense, you're not really different from him. and in fact might be worse.

Actually, no, but yes, you can too, because you do what you do. And that hasn't changed wherever you are.

On a sidenote, I wasn't even aware you were registered here until after I made the post, so it's really a (un)pleasant surprise. I should have known.

Anyways, VT's now got a bad rep as a school of asian murderers. Seriously, I'd avoid it now.

My heart goes out to the victim and her family. Also to my friend Ian, who still attends the school.

I knew it! Asians are getting a bad rep because of stuff like this. Hey, we're not all homicidal and depressed, you know.

Joking aside, I really wonder why VTech has not upped its psychiatric help centers or something. Stress and depression can be treated, whoever in college thinks their life sucks should seek help and not resort to something as stupid as randomly stabbing people.
 
many people think their lives suck during college. grades, bills, having to juggle social life, school and a job, it's a huge pain in the ass. add to that the normal stresses of day to day life + losing money in the stock trade... that's just gotta suck.

Understand that help is available to the students, but it's up to the student to go seek help. if that student doesn't believe anything is wrong, which is usually the case when someone has a problem, they don't tend to acknowledge that there is a problem until it's too late. and because they don't acknowledge there is a problem with themselves, no incentive to go seek help.

and when it's too late it's too late. what can you do except your woulda coulda shoulda's?
 
Damn, this is right in my back yard practically. I have friends there too. Twice in 2 years, this just depressing.
