Voldo General

Exactly! Voldo's *50* and into a dude older and decidedly deader than he is. Can't really be any less of a pedophile.

Anyway, this is more than likely just a result of both the bias of my thinking and the useless crap of which I think about as my mind wanders, but...

Considering that all of the characters in SC seem to be somewhat of a match for each other (or at the very least could pose a challenge to any other character in the game) from a story perspective, being that Voldo is both blind and 50, wouldn't that more or less make him (again, from a story perspective) the most skilled fighter in the game? I'd like to think so.

He's already handicapped FFS! He's blind and he doesn't even need a walking stick!

Of course he's the most skilled fighter!

Judging from all his previous costumes and customization options, he's definitely into BDSM!

What are your guys' basic strategy while in BS with Voldo. He's got a lot of new moves so what are you guys working with now?

Well, I wouldn't imitate me if you're already a pro level player, but what works for me is the simple stuff. I love his blind stance. People seem to fall for stuff from BS way easier than from the normal forward stance.

1A seems to get people *every time*. Still not quite sure why. It's pretty quick but not impossibly so.

6B and 2B work ok but I find 2B seems to be slower and easier to counter than 1A, so I only tend to use it against people who I know are going to try and attack low so that I can jump over it. Or if I just need to mix it up because they see 1A coming.

1K and 2K work alright too, especially followed up by BB.

Hell, simple as it is BB works pretty well on its own. 3B is great too, as always.

That's probably not all that helpful as far as advice goes, but the simple stuff seems to be so much quicker than everything else that I find anything else seems to be more of a risk.

Is this a weird bug or is it supposed to happen?

When you do a CH (eg 3a or BT b+K) and go a aB, B, B. When they are stunned and are hit by those stabs to the feet they are sent flying backwards. I tried to see if it could suck them off the ledge but it can't. It just looks funny, gives him some range and it *can* put voldo in backstance again but a 3a CH can be recovered and i dont know why anyone wouldn't combo from BT B+K.

Yeah, it's a bug, and I think it actually can ring out, but from a very funky angle that would be hard to set up...I think maybe rings out to Voldo's left if the characters both have their side to the ring.

Im trying to make Voldo one of my mains right now and I love his moveset but he has so many options that I find it hard to stick to one tactic for winning and I forget to employ some of his moves during battles with my cousin. We each have three mains and two other characters that we fight with just to keep things more interesting. I have Xianghua, Voldo, Lizardman, Raphael, and Cervantes as my mains. With so many mains its hard to remember everything which is why I want to narrow it down to three mains that I can master to the best of my ability and just have two back ups for fun. Sorry for going off topic there but my main question is this: is there a way to keep Voldo in Blind Stance after blocking the opponents attack? I usually get confused because I have a strategy in mind for Blind Stance but then I block one attack and it takes me out of it. Also, what are the best and safest options for getting into Blind Stance quickly??

On Block Voldo will be taken out of Blind Stance. If you think your gonna have an advantage after an attack, you might think about eating a move, take the damage and proceed. Another option if they like Horizontal attacks, BS 1A has a Tech Crouch that also takes them off their feet...

I enjoy 66k and 4a, myself, as they're quick and allow to quickly press on the attack in order to maintain the blindstance.

What the hell can I do about that leaping unblockable that Voldo has? I'm talking about the one that comes out of his Cagliostro rush thingy. It comes out surprisingly quickly, covers step well (I might be wrong on this part), and is relatively safe on block. Is it really as good a move as I think it is, or am I just too slow in sidestepping it?

I'm fairly sure that you can duck it so long as you're not at the far end of the attack. Take what I say with a grain of salt as I'm more used to play Voldo than I am playing against him but I swear I've had people duck right under it.

Yeah, pretty sure it's duckable and that that's the preferred alternative. I have stepped it before, but you'd need to be at a pretty advantageous position in terms of where and when you started.

Every time I think to do that, it's either too late, or I'm too far away. Maybe the people I play against are good with Voldo. They never spam it, and always find that sweet spot for the move where I'm more or less buggered irregardless of what I do. I've always had trouble fighting Voldo, so it might just be a personal failing.
