Vote for SC4 for EVO 2010

Jaxel can't fix what games are selected at EVO, but he will be running the SC4 side tourney.

All the supporters from Melty Blood came out because they want to see their game at EVO and a good chunk already have accounts on SRK. Good for them.

I knew BlazBlue wouldn't last in the lineup for long. BB:CT is butt on a tourney level and didn't have much hype for it.

I had a feeling that MVC2 would find it's way back into the lineup because it's Mahvel and now on the PS3. But did they really need to have 2 versus games at EVO? Whatever.

And SC4 had no chance when it came to player vote since there's not alot of us on SRK since it's more for Capcom and 2D fighters with more people that could vote for their respective game. The good thing is that thread won't consume any more of my time and I don't have to waste anymore time arguing with trolls.
 
Yeah, well we all KNEW that SC4 didn't stance a chance. Even more so since the poll was conducted not based on who voted in the poll, but who POSTED IN THE POLL THREAD... The SC4 community voted in the poll, we didn't post in the thread, because of the same reason we didn't have accounts at SRK in the first place... we have no reason to talk in that community.

Either way, lets show the EVO/SRK community that we have every right to be at EVO, even if their community doesn't care about us. How do we do this? BY HAVING A MASSIVE SIDE TOURNAMENT. Even though SC4 isn't a main game, still show up to EVO, and still sign up for the SC4 tournament I will be running in the BYOC room.

Now that it's official, start a new thread in Tournament Announcements so people can RSVP.

I still need to figure out what I am going to do, but more than likely I will be there since the likelihood of me being anywhere else for SC4 is not likely with my budget and time off. Plus it's Vegas. So let's show these bitches that we aren't dead.

Perhaps I'm missing something here, but why is it such a big deal to be at EVO when the SC community has G.A.M.M.E. and DEVASTATION right before?

I understand that having a game at EVO is big, but if it's not in the official line-up, then I think you're hurting the community more than helping it. By telling people to go to EVO just for a side tournament, you're taking people away from G.A.M.M.E. and DEVASTATION.

It's one thing if you're telling people who already plan on going for another game to also play in the SC4 side tournament, but telling people to go even if they didn't already plan to is just hurting the other main event tournaments around EVO.

I guess it just depends on what you feel is more important. Soul Calibur V (assuming there is one) will be at EVO once it's released no matter what kind of turnout a side tournament gets this year. That said, is it more important to have a decent EVO side tournament turnout and lackluster turnouts at G.A.M.M.E. and DEVASTATION, or decent turnouts at G.A.M.M.E. and DEVASTATION and a lackluster EVO side tournament?

While ideal, I don't see how we can have decent turnouts at all three events.

What a coincidence. If I could hand out reputation points u would get a whole shit load right now.

Not sure if I cold make both G.A.M.M.E and Devastation but I might go out of my way to make Devastation because of this post and how many people are going.
 
Ill be doing the side tournament if it's ran. Don't see why we cant have it and the bigger tournaments. more people will show up at devastation and gamme anyway, i doubt it will hurt the numbers.
 
Yeah, it's no surprise that SC4 didn't stand a chance on a forum like SRK.

But I support the MB community since they never had their game a Evo yet. So congrats to them.

I'm glad that BB was replaced, but with Marvel? Ugh, I still don't understand how that broken POS is enjoyable to people. Plus it's so boring to watch. I wish they selected any other game but that one.
 
DrDogg and SU: Calm down, people. Refer to my post in the thread in SU's thread. People aren't going to EVO for the SCIV side tourney (unless you're a Las Vegas local ala IFB). =/ We all knew it was a long shot.

I know most knew it was a long shot. My reply was mainly in response to Jaxel saying people should show up to EVO just for the side tournament. That's where I had some issues, nothing more. ^_^
 
I personally don't have money and the ability to get time off for to go to all three majors EVO, G.A.M.M.E and DEVASTATION. I am sure most people are in the same boat. So if I have to pick one I rather pick the one that is gonna support the game that I play. Why give EVO my time and hype for a line up I have no interest in. I think going to EVO for a side tourney is a waste and supporting a event that doesn't care about us.
