What I would like to see would be a SCVI with the CAS fighting styles from 3 the cosmetic CAS from 5 and the offline modes from 4 and the online mode from 5.
Where I live there are not a lot of people to go play in person tournaments. So the online aspect is really important to someone like me.
I don't care about create a soul too much IF I can just go pick a STANDARD character and do the EXACT same things. Maybe it's because I am an avid RPG player as well? I don't know. If I am not playing in Tournaments I want the freedom to choose how I play.
Maybe they can add in some sort of Icon next to the styles that says wether they are Tourney legal or not? That way everyone gets their way. :) :sc2xia12:

Generally the community decides what characters are allowed, so this wouldn't really make sense.

That goes along with the fact that there's no community where I live. So when it comes to how these types of things work, I am completely ignorant.

seems that NorCal and SoCal are your closest communities, not sure if Ohio still have their scene going tho

What if they made Toki a playable character? He could be in his demon form, and I think we could use more non-human characters because we haven't gotten any new ones since the original SC. As much of a piece of shit Unbreakable Soul was, it did introduce that idea so I'll give it credit for that. Giving Taki a direct adversary would be interesting to see.

I love that idea. :), how about bringing Geki and Maki in as playable characters for SCVI.

I don't know, Toki look like he would be cool, but they'd have to redesign him unless they want him to be a boss, he is too big. But the series does need a non-human characters that doesn't suck, since all we have is Aeon. About Geki and Maki, they're boring, and Maki would probably be using Kilik's moveset, they don't seem to have any role besides being random ninjas-made-demons, Toki at least has a more solid backstory.

I would like to see a real mimic, Necrid-like character. Because, you know, Edge Master has used other styles in the past and now, he decides he doesn't want to use them anymore?

Concerning fighting style, I would like a real short/bastard sword wielding character: it's really lacking in the Soul series (Salia, I want you!).

Edit: or also razor-sharp wires, like the ones Walter uses in Hellsing!

I'd also like a reworked Elysium: a bit more "pure" regarding energy (like hostless Nightmare), and a personal fighting style (so much potential ruined...).

A native American, a Mid-Eastern, an African (South of Sahara) would add some variations in the game.

Aztec (colorful feathers!), Mayan, or other Mesoamerican fighters would be great too, except most of them were colonized by 1521. Yet there exists a region, the Petén area, that managed to repel the Spanish colonizers until 1697. So why not add a Mayan fighter :D

Oh and the craziest idea ever (Project Soul won't agree with that): characters that actually look like their artwork! (I'm looking at you, Z.W.E.I.-was-hit-in-the-face-with-a-shovel)

well thats easy simply all the original characters from soul calibur. New replacement characters over the old ones and no cas shit next question

for new characters what mcgee said (wouldnt mind necrid himself either) and they need to experiment with fighting styles again not just put in another staff or sword user. Viola zwei hilde algol thats the future :o

You know what would be cool about Elysium? If she possessed someone, like Soul Edge/Inferno did to become Nightmare. Also, what name would be given to a Soul Calibur counterpart of Nightmare? Dream?

Aztects and Mayans are cool, though I usually don't see much difference between them appearence-wise. Its pretty much this:

I can't imagine anything really original coming from them, but, hey, its a naked guy with tattoos and feathers, what could possibly go wrong?

That's Aztec, and it's anachronistic. These are Mayan warriors.

I do prefer Aztec warriors, but that wouldn't suit, except if we use the excuse of a warrior who traveled the world after his civilization was destroyed by the conquistadores.

And Zero is right, Elysium is the name... :')

Would like to see more different styles of the same weapons we have. An actual decent dual sword wielder not gay Cerv thick slow boring shite style.

There's no decent long sword in the game that isn't a katana or a airplane wing. Like Edgemasters concept art sword. Darth Maul's sword would be a cool style as well like Natsu's concept, dunno what warrior used them though.

Aztecs and Mayans are pretty gay tbh. Flails are also boring and gay.

An actual Werewolf > Zwei. Or giant crab would be good.

There are many excuses they could use for a mayan warrior to not be among the others. Like, him being sent by a god, or maybe befriending a colonist, or just randomly drawn to the swords' power, the possibilities are many.

I don't see what kind of garbage Zero posts, he is an idiot and I'm ignoring him. Elysium is NOT the name of a possessed character, Elysium is the counterpart of Inferno. "She" is the will of Soul Calibur, much like Inferno is the will of Soul Edge. In case you don't know, "Inferno" means "hell" in Latin, while "Elysium" was, in greek mythology, the place where Hades would send the good souls to, so, essentially, heaven. As such, since a character possessed by Soul Edge/Inferno is called Nightmare, a character possessed by Soul Calibur/Elysium should have a different name.[/QUOTE]

@Sett so basically what you want is the average garbage swordstyle you find in every mmo with 2 swords for mainstream audience ? Kappa
Aztecs are a great idea and could lead into an unique fighting style unlike another sword user

What exactly is wrong with Cervantes' style? Also, what exactly does being "gay" mean? Its not really something that makes sense with the comment, though I'd be all for a gay character in SC, though if we go by culture, some of them may already be bisexual at least.

Yeah but the Aztec civilization disappeared like 80 years before the events of SCV. The Mayan one, however, managed to "survivre" until 1697 (but just a small village). While the Aztecs are better design-wise, the Mayans are better timeline-wise. But well, it's a game, no need to be that accurate: like the Wolfkrone Kingdom, they could create an Aztec city that wasn't destroyed...

Indeed, but Elysium is good as it is IMHO. And I'd rather see Elysium as she is than another possessed character. In the end, Nightmare in SCIII and SCIV is just Inferno going under the name of NM, so Elysium could keep her name :)

Please no, no gay characters! They'll be either too flamboyant, or simply be gay as a fanservice, like the handsome tenebrous guy fighting for his dead boyfriend, etc. The story of the Soul series is too weak to add such depth to a character.
