DocVizzo listens to hip-hop? Big L no less? Blown;
And, yeah, Madnis, hip-hop is a culture, but it also happened to become one of the more dominating aspects of pop culture. I can understand how you feel, and, yeah, maybe dead isn't the best way to describe it in that sense. But, either way, like all pop cultures, rap/hip-pop's time in the limelight is ended, which is why everyone's trying to chase that new sound and that next big thing.
Either way, I really never understand why so many people thought Joell was decent. I think he's average, but whatever. You should mess around with Little Brother (moreso Phonte).
Didn't read that yet, but you listen to Nina Simone too? You sound like my type of people.
They all sound the same in clubs because IT'S HARDER TO CHANGE RHYTHM IN CLUBS WITHOUT BREAKING RAPPORT WITH THE AUDIENCE. We live in the digital age. The biggest topic of the digital age is EFFICIENCY. We use computers which compared to type writer are OVER 9000! We use the internet which compared to libraries are OVER 9000! We use broadband now which compered to dial up is OVER INFINITY X 9000+! You seriously think people have the patience these days to go staccato over their shit when they can streamline it instead, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT'S PART OF SOCIAL NORMS AND VALUES?And yes it is about the party, but i miss having something memorable to dance to. Nowadays when i club (which i do pretty often), its almost impossible to tell the difference between songs. They all sound the same.
All humans have general needs. These needs are:And when you listen for lyrical content, its the same damn stupid message. We can blame P.diddy for that message lol. Money, money, money, money and mo money. What happened to talking about social problems? What happened to being crazy? What happened to the rap battling? Now its all stuntin like my daddy and making it rain (don't even get me started on birdman). All i hear from Lil wayne is a irritating little man with a God complex. And i don't think thats a persona.
Objectivity may highlight a point without bias, but it won't change your opinion, will it?You're silly. I'm long past being in an argumentative mood, but the point of any decent argument is to refute what an opponent's is saying objectively (not generalize statements made and then argue against them with some subjective whatnot like it's supposed to be the be-all end-all).
Here'mmFirst thing's first:
I am stupendously disappointed in all of you for not even mentioning Tech N9ne. You fools have no taste! I've only been saying for 10 years that he's the greatest rapper alive, and then suddenly this article popped up: http://www.refinedhype.com/hyped/entry/tech-n9ne-best-rapper/
Fuck yeah. Also props to Brotha Lynch Hung. But that's about it. These two deserve it all in my books.
