Raph confirmed as SCV Nightmare :D

yes....i thought the same when i saw this scene the first time...the accent is totally equal to the Raph accent...and his laugh in the Zwei vs scene...LOL XDDD in English and Jap

They do have the same English and Japanese VAs. The Wiki can be edited by anyone, and more likely than not the info is occasionally wrong.

Nightmare falls to his knees and holds his malfested arm up and it glows. He groans a little
However he hasn't done that for anyone else as far as I have seen. this could indicate a struggle for the body , as it doesn't look like nightmare is in control of his arm. you know that pose he had back in SC2? Yeah it's that one.

And I remember nightmares plight for more souls with that action as well
If we take the Raphael theory (which I strongly agree with), then the reason is simple:
Nightmare/Raph senses Viola's/Amy's presence, but Soul Edge doesn't like this situation. Poor Nighty/Raph... :(

guys, is true...Nightmare IS Raphael..."The artbook has a quote from a designer for the game mentioning that "Nightmare's armor in this game is meant to invoke the image of a bat. There is a reason for this..." or something along those lines"

Not like bats are exclusively Raphael's symbol, he just is associated with them more than anyone else in the game.

I did some research on their English voice actors and I can safely say that Patrick Seitz(Nightmare's listed VA) does indeed play Raphael, as he sounds just like him. However, he sounds nothing like Nightmare. All of his roles had similarities except for Nightmare. So, while he did play Raphael(as opposed to his Wiki-listed VA Charles Klausmeyer), I don't think he played Nightmare.

While they so share Japanese VAs, I don't think they share English VAs.
Besides, having the same VA means almost nothing.(Ezio and Siegfried...)

So is the "regular" Raph in this game a ghost or zombie then?? Or is he still the vampire being after being released from soul edge's control??

There's a lot of speculation out there that while Raphael's body is the host for Soul Edge, his "soul" still wanders looking for Amy, so yeah he's somewhat of a ghost... >_>

¬¬....bats in the game = Raph
Phoenix=Kilik
Raven=Tira
Snake= Ivy
Wolf= Zwei

or you think....is possibly an character equal to Ivy, with a mask, with her voice, with snakes in her clothes, with her boobs XDDDDDD, with her heigh, her hair, her personality...is NOT she? xDDDD just because she dont use her weapon and she uses SOUL EDGE WITH AN EXPLICATION? please...the comment of the designer is clear...(sorry for my english)

...Project Soul is probably sitting back indulging themselves right now.

ProjSo: LOL WE THROW RAPH'S FAYSE ON A MODEL AND FANS EXPLODE. U MAD?

I don't know if it had been posted or not, but it's from an interview with Tago:

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2011-10-20-raphael-confirmed-for-soulcalibur-5

"Raphael has a lot of fans," Tago said. "He was hightly requested by all of the fans for Soulcalibur 5, so we put him on a new journey. In Soulcalibur 4 he also died. So, how is he back? Why is he back? That will be a mystery for fans to think about."

So it seems that "Dumas is the body, and Raphael is a ghoul" is true.

Hmm...but Raph has a solid physical body. And if Dumas was just the body, he'd be an empty shell for Soul Edge which makes one wonder why Dumas acts less like SCIV Nightmare and more like Raph.
RANDOM SPECULATION MODE
Tira developed two distince personality after SCIII events. Could it be possible that Raphael's soul was divided. One part is intent on finding and making his daughter happy while the other part is more focused on regaining power to make the new world they need?
Dumas takes on the power part, start a purge, regain the shards and turns more evil the longer he has Soul Edge while the other part parts from him, takes the weapon style and his love for his daughter so that he can find her. As for how Raph has a physical body, materialization perhaps?
*Feel free to point out things that don't make sense (looks up at entire paragraph). Well, that's all I got for now...(>*-*)

Tira had always had bipolar disorder, the stances were added on SCIV, but she had the same disorder in III. She could end the fight in Jolly or Gloomy, but it didn't affect her gameplay. Your mistake there bro, but keep on speculating.

(I'm a girl lol). I know she already had that disorder but in SCIII, she was merely mentally unstable and she just switched from being jolly to gloomy. But after the event, her mind literally got shattered and when she returned, those two emotions actually became two distinct people. It said so in her sciv profile in that chain of souls thing.

There was an earlier post here that speculated it could just be the thing like in Soulcalibur how they had Nightmare who was using Siegfried as a host, but then they also had Siegfried just as himself. Could be that kind of spin again.

Since this Nightmare has a little bit of focus and charisma, does that mean Raphael is doing a better job than siegfried at controlling it?

Before he was all "Rah souls!" Slaughtering armies in an open field. Now like other's said he's playing court politician.

Is it more to do with Nightmare taking on Raphael's personality, or is it that Raphael is doing this all his way?

Also since this Nightmare has a wish he wants granted (The perfect world for Amy), how come siegfried didnt try to have a goal to reach for? He just got lost completely in Soul Edge's madness and corruption. Raphael must have a very strong or stubborn soul, even when consumed by Soul Edge he still doesnt lose focus of his plan.
