Yoshimitsu Namu Combos

Ok so I just found out today that after the Deathcopter (8A+B) that a delayed 3B is a tech trap. The only direction in which it has a chance of missing is if he techs to the right, you will relaunch them with his 3B, and even if they dont tech, youl still get the ground damage from it. Also, if you dont have good timing skills, 3AB has the timing perfect so it will always relaunch without needing to time it right (using this method will always miss a right teching opponent however). As soon as you hit them, hit 3AB and youl get a launch if they tech roll. However, in that case, he doesnt have the chance to still hit them if they choose to just roll.

Once their launched just do whatever air combo you usually go for. This allows a ringout opportunity after his 8A+B unblockable (using the earslicer,) can grant more damage than his 2[A+B] 66 (using 6k guarantees more damage, but you could always try for a:B+K then 66B) and also grants your more options when using his unblockable.
 
Hey, Codemasters tech traps are 100% legit guys. I know, I've felt them lol. I stole your 236B tech trap bro! ;)
 
I don't try to that many cobmos with yoshi myself. Is that bad for me when I paly yoshi. I feel better doing his mix ups and tekken moves as my offense game.
 
Its normally better to incorporate all of that into how ya play him. But nah its not gonna KILL ya if you dont add many combos, but using those with mixups and the like makes him better.

Ill have to try it more but pretty sure offline the Tech Trap after Deathcopter with 3AB or Delayed 3B was not working lastnight... Like i said things work online that dont work offline... also they were escaping the 236B unblockable but very few times! lol that set up does work... but if they lay there then they can roll out of the way easily get up and punish you as my friends caught on and started doing it to me... but then when they lay there they are going to eat 66B everytime... So its a good catch either way...

3AB, a:B+K into 236B and that whole string worked... = DEAD haha

Sorry i lagged out yesterday ? I havent had lag like that in a while maybe my connection just bombed out for a bit! either way the matches we had were fun look forward to next time... Just make sure if you do come up with these "Tech Catches" your putting the computer to Tech and Second action to Block all... thats how you will know for sure if they work ;) later!

Actually im going into training and setting the first and second command to block all and having them set to ukemi in certain directions. Trust me, it works offlife, swear to god. I NEVER test out ANYTHING online (Except for tekken move uses) unless I have tested it numerous times offline in training first or against my brother.

Ive noticed that alot of people tech roll to the right, however, which is prolly why your 3ab is missing. Try for the timed 3b, cuz that has a MUCH higher chance to hit right teching opponents than anything (Again, for teching to the right, the distance at which you hit them with the deathcopter plays a factor.) Anyways yeah, im sure not everyone will fall for 236b, but as I said before, I have seen cases where they roll and it still hits them somwhow, and they completely side step it, yet it still smacks em. But yes, I understand that it can be punished yada yada.

Anywho ya good games dude. Im looking forward to next time (Or if I EVER get an opportunity to play ya offline,) I get to play you. But for a hint, now that I know REF A tech punishes every direction, I use that now instead of 3ab cuz its easier to do, you get the DNK obviously, and it still has ringout opportunity (But its lacking the chance to get 236b as another trap afterwords.)

Oh and if you do the Super dragon fly strike, you get DRG k as an all direction tech trap as well (But you could always use the other traps as well, but you have to delay them just by a little bit for them to make contact.) Also FLE K tech traps all directions after that strike(except sometimes it randomly misses left for some reason) and can get you the air grab out of it for alot of aditional damage. There are ALOT more traps than these that I found out, but these are the most useful out of any of his after this.
 
Right ok well I was just checkin ;) I was having troubles doing the 3AB tech catch after the deathcopter... So as soon as you hit it you can do 3AB and if they tech up it will hit correct? Maybe my timing was off... The other one worked fine though lol but there are several ways around the other one.... but when it hits man thats alot of damage ;)

I tried some but tilming is very strange between 2:a:B and 22_88B

CH iMCF to bA is a combo ;) you can also do bA off walls and it will do the attack throw as well...

JI to iMCF to bA is one of my favorite WoW combos ;)
 
Anyone have any combos that cna follow his Med A+B parry? So fra all I do is finish it so they get launched, then follow it with 8A+K, but im not sure if thats the completely best option.

if you time it right you can 44bB and a:B+K afterward. It works on a standard 1K so it should do the same.
 
If u do just b:A u'll get more damage ;)

a whopping 5 or so points more woot!!

WTF there is a just b:A ? Didnt know that...

and code on big characters after 1K try holding G jumping up hit 8K on them into 236B ;)
Also if your playing online alot me and dorya found you always get doorknockers on him after Deathcopter I've never seen you do it even though I know you were the one that said something about it... It doesnt have to be CH just regular hit...

Also found out yesterday you can 4A parry into the wall into iMCF ;) haha love it...

My new nasty tech trap madness is

a:B+K, 9B+K trap, 4B, TRAP, hold 1B if they lay there they take it if they roll right they take it left even sometimes takes it, stand up take it. After that hits they will usually want to lay there, thats when you follow up with 33A+B, if they tech again then they eat 33A+B after 33A+B go into 9A+B, G then REF A catch all.... There pretty much dead after that...

the first 3 to 4 hits of this little set up work lovely! If they are by the wall after the 4B then 214A will catch all... Yoshi is a tech monster... too bad most of the good players like to lay there when they play him...

A+K if it hits them and causes the fall stun you get Doorknockers after so could be good for ring outs if it hits ;)
