Milo = More gimmicky shit, as if we need it.

MGS:R = Horray 360 owners can finally play Metal Gear. Now hopefully they'll stop whambulaning about not having it.

L4D2 = Too fucking soon. Has the game even been out for a year yet? And you're announcing another one? Stupid.

E3 sucked so far.

All feminine wiles aside, just try to play the SC community card, try to convey that there's a lot of people really concerned about the direction of the game and the series right now, and figure out where they're at right now.

Above ALL else, try and get them to spill the beans on whether or not we're getting a console patch. We need it badly.

EDIT: I've skipped over the MGS4 for 360 parts, lol. Did they even mention how they'll fit it on the disk? All I ever hear on the topic is smug PS3 fanboys claiming it'll be on like 10 discs lol. I might Gamefly it, I might not. Meh.

each year when we have an e3.. there are people who scream that shit sucks blah blah blah...
so i've noticed that e3 has always sucked. yet the same jackasses including myself tune in each
year to see what these companies have.

just a random observation.

Milo is actually interesting from an academic view. It wouldn't necessarily make for an interesting game. But, provided that something like that actually worked and wasn't just a ton of pre-scripted events, it would be huge.

Yeah. I went to one in 2000. I was riding back to the hotel shuttle, and a guy turned to me ans said "So, what did you think?"

My brain went: ...

I'd pretty much just saw stuff that was already in previews, had imported already etc, and MGS2 footage was about the most exciting thing shown at the show. (Couldn't really get excited about The Bouncer, Halo footage of a jeep driving around, or Dragon's Lair 3d for some reason.)

I ended up saying something which profoundly disappointed the guy. Something about the show living up the hype. (Empty statement, but I had no opinion one way or another.) He shook his head and turned back around.

That and the assasin's creed trailer were stunning. Sadly you don't get to play the CG ..lol. And I have a sour taste from the first creed game (too repetitive too easy.... rent not a pre-order as I stupidly did *facepalm) and an irritated twitch that the starwars game is a fucking MMO instead of KOTOR 3. First Banjo threeie is turned into a weird racing thing-a-majig (not sure what to call it really...) and then bioware told us that instead of a putting new graphics and maybe some decent fight mechanics on a new RPG they are going to try and have a pissing contest with WoW to see which company can create more sad peon/cretins. At the same time though if the service were free (or amazingly cheap..which I DOUBT) then I at least would want to give the thing a try...even with my whole anti-mmo feelings. Speaking of which when the fuck is Jade Empire 2 gonna come out -.-

Facebook is MHEE who cares really. Same deal with twitter. Games on demand is just a money making scheme...I'm SURE of it. Now if they put gamefly online.. ... that would be a diff. story :P Avatar Marketplace is cashing in on all the ppl that are stupid enough to do something like buy outfits for fighting games -.- but good for MS on that I guess... they don't DESERVE their money..lol. I DO however wonder how the movie party stuff is gonna work. That would be neat to get to watch a movie with my bro in NOR-cal my friends on the East coast and my sista from anotha mista in So Cal all at the same time and get to talk about it easily.

I agree. But I also have a huge feeling a LOT of that was scripted :( And if it wasn't it also scares me a tiny tiny bit in a good humored sort of way..lol. Great timing for the most recent Terminator to come out :P That being said it def. seems like it something that could be great for teaching purposes and online classes where you are "actually" there and the teacher is "actually" there like they show in the futuristic movies...lol. As a gaming device I see it merely being a kinda sad gimmick unless it has a LOT more power than I think it has. And I don't think all the lazy ppl playing videogames after a day at school or work are gonna want to go through a full body workout to play a fighter or an action adventure with less precision than if they used a controller. I know I wouldn't.

Only genre I see potential much in is sports titles (already done) and RPG games. Come on.. who WOULDN'T want to actually have some kind of advanced conversation with your squad mate while you are walking through some boring ass swamp waiting for some random mech or monkey or whatever to attack :)


WHAT I AM REALLY WAITING FOR though:

-More vids of the Batman game. I am loving what I'm seeing but I am very very skeptical of anything based off comics/movies/etc.

-Mass Effect 2 vids....would be nice

-Announcement of a new Zelda in the lines of OoT and TP. I'd fucking buy a Wii JUST for that game if I had to ... ..lol. Hell.. if it weren't for the fact that TP came out for gamecube I already would have a wii.

-some shiny surprise from MS? maybe something special from Rare?

-ppl to realize that all these "new" bungie games all around halo are just the company beating a dead horse. The graphics and seemingly the gameplay and everything are just a re-hashed version. I'm not buying the bullshit and the story is starting to get old.

L4D's 1 year anniversary is the release date of L4D2. I do hope they don't bring a new L4D every year, then they'll be something to really bitch about. But as for L4D2 dropping out quick, fuck. Im down with that.

They've been working on L4D2 before L4D even dropped. And since this is Valve, and not some goofy shit like Halo which took several years and then blew absolute ass...Im confident this is actually a smart move, I can't wait.

I assume Episode 3, Portal 2, and Counterstrike 2 are all not ready for this year and they want to put out a game every year, so L4D2 got fast tracked. I doubt they'd do a L4D every year, it just skipped ahead in line and stole our lunch money.

Just finished the Nintendo Press Conference... last year's Nintendo Press Conference was unanimously determined to be the WORST conference in E3 history... this year's was even WORSE! An entire conference of Nintendo parading about how successful they are, without actually offering anything to anybody to keep themselves successful. Bullshit like Wii Motion Plus, Wii Fit Plus, Wii Vitality Sensor and Style Savvy don't interest real gamers.

Nintendo claims to be expanding the gamer audience, but this just is not true. What they are doing is creating a new audience and telling gamers to go fuck themselves. At some point in the show, Reggie claims to "read the blogs" and he understands the complaints about the lack of third-party support. So he offers to show us THREE games; when did 3 games qualify as third party support? Sony and Microsoft show ten times that.

So of course, we see 3 games... one of them being another Resident Evil game; but its not even a landmark title, its one of those spinoffs... and even worse, another one being a Deadspace port. So Reggie moves on again and says "is there a chance a more mature title could come from Nintendo itself, instead of a third-party? the answer is yes!"... And immediately the video starts with a TEAM NINJA logo... doesn't that mean its third-party?

I feel like Nintendo is catering to fucking morons who don't notice this bullshit. Of course, what is the game? Surprisingly its not a new Ninja Gaiden game... its a new METROID game... using the Ninja Gaiden engine. So its Ninja Gaiden where you play as Samus, instead of Ryu Hayabusa. Fuck I hate Nintendo. But oh yeah... Women's Murder Club: Stories of Passion.

I swear to Jesus. If that game gets announced, I might die from shock. If I don't, I'm going to buy WHATEVER system it's being released on. Even if it's on the damn Wii (although I pray that Inafune isn't THAT cheap).

This. Obviously it's a gaming convention, and obviously Nintendo is making BANK off motion control gimmicks, so they're gonna hype it up as an evolution of gaming. But if we take the corporate spin off it and look at it for what it is, it's pretty fucking amazing if it works the way it was demonstrated.
 
Metroid game looks pretty kick ass though

I more or less expect these things to suck but some cool games get announced every now and then

Pretty excited for Mario and Luigi 3 and new metroid.
 
Sony conference has started... and its already shaping up to be better. People are actually cheering in the audience, while at the Nintendo conference, the audience was silent (in utter disgust). Sony will own this year...
