Ivy - Take away some of her range and stupid BS.

*smack* ...no...just...just fuckin no. That's what Ivy is.

I agree Ivy needs tweeking but she's a minor buff/nerf case. Fix glitches and make SE safer (it's fricken horrible). Also do something with her plethora of useless moves CL 1a? CL 4A+B? However maybe nerf 66A+B...maybe. usually she has to work very hard for her heavy damage, so it's balanced in the sense it's not easy to get something since it's always a mid unless its iCS/SS or CL A+B set ups.

I like the force gauge for algol. Seems like a perfect balance. He can still use bubbles effectively, but can't rely open them.

Hilde...doom combo...ALL FORMS...that shit needs to go. Give her some damage back maybe to be fair.

Voldo needs to not be so safe. He's overly well rounded.

Everyone else is pretty good on not being OP.

I would say nerf Hilde's kick move that pushes the opponent far away as well as the doom combo.

Also I would nerf Amy's kick where it cause oppoents to fly backwards.

Since Namco nerfed Cervy's aK, 4K K and Raph's 22_88K I think they should do the same to both.

And that's why I say she should be toned down.

Ivy is one of those characters that barely takes effort to win with.

I used to play Ivy, and while I don't know all her moves, I know for sure that you're wrong there. Ivy requires a lot of skill, and it's not even close to as easy to win with her as you seem to think it is. That's why there are no Ivy spammers, and so few basic Ivy players, she has a very high learning curve and is tough to even attempt spamming as.

Hilde-Doom Combo gone and lower some of her CF.

Kilik-2A unsafe, 66B unsafe or keep it safe but not pushblock, remove WRB pushblock.

Algol-A bubble limiter. Like someone said, a gauge for bubbles is a nice idea. Or like 20 bubbles a round. Something.

Sophitia-She takes wayyy too much damage. Other than 236B x 2, lower her damage output.

Voldo-Too safe and too CF powerful along with that safeness. One or the other.

Amy-No more Choi factor.

That's it.

Maybe it's online, but I always have trouble against Ivy players. Sometimes it takes me forever just to get close to the bitch.

umm.. i dont get this, as in ciao? her 'aloufness'?

online ivys used to be the bane of my life, good ivys are always my worst match up, but a bit of character knowledge helps alot.

Tira's self-damage needs a major nerf. The damage is absurd and threatens the balance of the game~!112122

/cue end of fake argument.

I'm surprised no one mentioned Setsuka and all her speedy/tech crouchy/agB bA-does-way-too-much-damage.......ness.

Setsuka has her curve that holds her back somewhat. That's why you don't see her much at tourneys. If you decrease her damage while keeping her curve and difficult combos, she would be wayyyy down on the popularity list. More than she is already. (Tourneys)

I do agree with Tiamat that her B+K damage is too high and should get a nerf but not on her other combos.

Bubbles you don't have to duck...it's a normal hit mid for 80+ meaning it can be landed other ways such as

sidestep whiff punisher (should be highly applicable)
block punisher (only for super unsafe stuff like mitsu 2kB)
post GI (won't be unblockable but could use to punish re-GI attempts)

also just the threat of having a mid that strong would make it much lower risk for her to throw or use lows in a lot of situations

They should either tone down the damage (it can also wall splat for half of life bar) or make it -20+, some characters can't even punish it.

...Do you even play this game? Ivy while a great character, she still has very few easy tactics. She's got a few good moves that you'll see a lot, but usually she requires a great attention to spacing and using the right move for each scenario. She's one one the hardest characters to use and learn.

The only things that really jump out at me as needing a nerf:
Doom Combo doesn't need to ring out from across the stage.
Bubbles are annoying/dumb.
Voldo is too safe/good at everything.
Sophie's 236B 236B combo is kinda dumb.

In general I'd rather buff weak characters than nerf strong ones. Not that Sets is weak, but taking a quick glance through the tourney results forum, I see her appearing in the top 5 like. . . once.

These are pretty much my exact thoughts on what should have been different, but I wouldn't complain. Aside from these few things, SCIV is one of the most balanced games out there. Also, the level of depth this game offers makes it so that one's skill/character knowledge is far more imporant than their character choice, bar a few extremes like trying to win against a decent Algol/Voldo with Talim.

I'm feeling a lot of bias here. Ivy isn't THAT difficult to learn beyond stance changes.

All characters have to work pretty hard to win against an opponent just as skilled as them.

However, what geno said about her was based solely upon online, and was a rather silly statement as well.

Characters who need a good "nerfing" in the fu

algol - bubble issue, change da property of the move, like they did voldo's BS CR A or have limitations like said earlier
hilde - doom combo
tira - she doesnt need to dmg herself
kilik - less dmg w asura
sophie - less dmg on sum moves
amy - her auto GI stance shouldnt GI kicks IMO
voldo - i play him n think tht they nerfed him in a big way already, but he could deal a lil less dmg. he's kinda well rounded n he's got sum really linear moves as well as a pretty weak step.
ivy - fix da glitch with her unblockable with no flames
