T6BR tier list

Nina is same-y with new moves. Anna feels like Nina, but has a different style/set of moves. She's more like a female... Lee? Nina is still the pitbull/rushdown and mixup queen.

Crouch dashing has always been character-specific. I'd hate to see somebody like Steve with a crouch dash, lol. Going backwards has always been bdc (backdash cancelling) and character-specific stance-based backdash cancels.

Meh, it'll have to do. Wish throws seemed more useful as well, but it wouldn't be Tekken otherwise, would it? O_o

They are actually. AFAIK (and it does seem this way based on all the games I've put into the arcade BR), you only have one input to defend against throws. So if the throw used can only be broken by pressing both punches, you can't slide 1~2 in the hope of escaping throws with a 1 break or a 2 break and a 1+2 break. Doing so would only register 1 as your throw break attempt, meaning against a 1+2 throw, you're screwed.

Likewise, if you do a canned string (e.g. 123), and the opponent throws you as you press the 3, the 3 becomes your throw break input. Which means you're screwed too.

In fact, King's dangerous because of this, since he can buffer his iSW throw with a standing attack, as well as the giant swing, but both throws require a different break input.

I've had it for 24 hours now. Online Mode isn't available in the game until a patch is released on the 27th, so I can't comment on netcode.

If it true that only one player can use a custom outfit in VS, or is that fear mongering bullshit?

Sorry, I'm skeptical and will not join this Tekken sequel. I really don't like the direction Namco is taking this Tekken by promoting juggle mania. When King's link throws are dealing as much damage as a juggle, then you know this is no longer Tekken. When bears start doing long combos that go beyond 7 hits, then it's no longer Tekken.

Maybe I'm wrong, but right now the only Tekken item I want is the stick. I could care less about the game that comes with it.

Stop being a whiny cry baby Draco.

If you guys don't like juggles (which has been a Tekken signature since Tekken 4 FYI. Kinda late to complain about it after 4, 5, 5DR, 6, and 6BR), and don't like the system, then why not just pick up VF? It's not like you have to downgrade to DOA.

I mean, it's not like somebody's holding a gun to your head, forcing you to play T6, which is the way some of you guys sound.

This statement is FALSE. I am a TOP TIER whiny cry baby.

And I actually did like Tekken 5.1. I only played DR for a bit, and I thought it was good. I'll wait and see for tekken 6 before I buy it. Maybe I'm just cherry picking bad stuff, cause all I keep seeing are Lars, Bryan, and Steve.

Screw all you US ppl with the game right now D:

I dnt think i can w8 5 days. Heck i bet it'll come late for me too.

People HAVE been complaining about it since Tekken 4. That's been like the number one complaint about the Tekken series since the dawn of time, besides lolsparklyshit and the character designs.

And I don't see anyone acting like that. I see people saying that they won't play it, which is a valid response, and others saying they'll wait and see, which is also a valid response.

And nobody plays VF in NA and VF5:R will never be released here.

Like I said before, I'm personally up for whatever. If everyone's going to be playing Tekken at the tourneys then I'll probably play it as well; hell, I entered SF4 tourneys and I fucking hate that game, way more than I ever could Tekken. I did it because there was a SF4 tourney going on and it gave me a reason to delay my SC4 matches while I formulated a good excuse for losing.

How's Bruce and Asuka for beginner Tekken players? I'm looking into probably playing one of those two. Wanna start fresh.

Actually, that's the number one reason of people who don't want to play the game. The biggest complaint in the past was how much damage the juggles wiped off. Namco fixed that, and you'll notice there are no more anti-juggle threads on TZ (there were quite a few when vanilla T6 was first release).

My response to this is always: just give it a go. Rent it if you like, but rent it for a good two months or so, and obviously, try to learn it before you write it off. Believe me, the juggles aren't as bad as you might think. You can pick a character like Miguel, who doesn't need long juggles to win (same story with Feng, Lei, Marduk, etc.). Kuma being given a few more extra hits is actually the one of the few things keeping him at a decent-enough level to compete.
