Nightmare Web Theater.

I don't think Idle uploaded them yet. Anyway, you'll be disappointed. I didn't win much. :(
Although, I'd like to have another go against them. I want to see how much I've improved after playing and learning from Omega, Malek and Kira.

Damn. Who did you lose too? I was really rooting for you, lol.

Got some videos of me at the recent OHN8 tournament here in Sydney, Australia. Came 7th out of 19 but im happy as i played well against the eventual champion, Davo and was generally playing against characters who i had very very little experience against. Please feel free to C&C, ill like to improve greatly for the next tournament and hopefully get a podium finish this time. Thanks.

Engared (Nightmare) vs Bailey (Kilik) W2

Engared (Nightmare) vs Davo87 (Ivy) W3

Two more videos still to come from me.

These following videos are of V.Star who came third overall. LGinfinite didnt play Nightmare during the tourney (BOOOOO! :P)

Endnow (Siegfried) vs V.Star (Nightmare) W2

V.Star (Nightmare) vs Dion (New player) (Sopie/Cerv) L3

A couple more still to come when they are uploaded by Zan.

Lol, when you yell it was hilarious.

Anyways, in the first matches vs Kilik. Your opponent didn't know how to fight against Nightmare. His defense was pretty bad and he never even attempted asura, WS B combo, 2a mixups with command grab or nothin. On your part, the only thing you did wrong was not use WS B enough and you kept doing 33b GS A wayy too much.

In the second match vs Ivy. You did 33b GS A too much again. You started to get 2a'd after awhile. If you know your opponent is going to do that, don't GS after 33b. I found that if you don't, not only will you not get hit ( Unless your fighting Maxi because he has the best 2a in da wolrd ) but if you inch forward you can grab them with NM's insane grab reach. Also in the third match vs Ivy. You made a few mistakes. 6a? There wasn't a real good reason to use that move in the corner. Instead use A;ga because she has NO TC moves that bring her to your face. Her only good one is her clip. If you learn to block her clip on reaction and play the range game, you can beat Ivy. Once on the ground you did 2A+B on oki. Don't ever do that unless you KNOW they will not move. NM has a billion better oki moves, im sure you know that. You didn't use 1[a] enough. Thats another thing too. That Ivy player didn't block 1a for shit, I only saw them block it once. If you EVER play someone and they can't block that on reaction. DO IT ALL DAY. Plus you could of used 11b. You like never used that...

All in all, you didn't do too bad though.

Tips vs Ivy: Grab from a range, Don't play close range game with Ivy. She will mixup with mids and SS/CS. You DON'T want that. Poke with A;ga, 11b, 3b, 11k stuff. You can play a better range game then her. Alot of Ivy players duck when they are open to attacks, because it looks like you can grab them but you really can't. If she runs up and does a move and you block it and it looks like you can grab afterwards. Try a grab, if it doesn't work...and they duck. Start doing 3b or 11k or WS B. Ivy's duck alot for some reason...>.>;
You have to learn to block her 22k though. That shit does insane damage. I look out for it, lol.

Tips vs a good kilik: WS B alot because its awesome, and it beats Asura. NSS isn't too bad vs him either. Also, kilik has a real hard time dealing with GS...his 2a is kinda shity. In any matchup with NM, grab alot..lol. I honestly never had a problem in this matchup. I think its 5-5. Fighting Ivy is way tougher imo. She has alot of moves that will just randomly hit you and she will run and try her mid mixups with SS/CS bullshit.

Hope I helped some.

Thanks bud i appreciate it. Yeah i love my 33B heh, but ill servely cut down on it next time. Bailey just had bad day, he was splitting games with me during the casuals and maybe he was used to playing LG's NM which is alot more defensive. Hes actually alot better than that. Tourney nerves kinda got me, i will be using alot more 1[A] charges in the future. I kinda got into a predictable pattern which was bad :(

. LGinfinite didnt play Nightmare during the tourney (BOOOOO! :P)

LOL. Engared speaks the truth. I went Mitsu, Algol, and Asta. Maybe I should have gone NM, but the whole point of learning other characters is that you have to be able to back them under pressure. Perhaps it wasn't the best idea, but hey, if you don't try you'll never know, right?

But just to add to what's already been mentioned, Engared, if you watch Davo in action you'll notice that he likes coming into close range to set up his SW mix up game. B+K is actually useful here, because most of her stuff will whiff against B+K and then you can punish with NSS. I also think 3K is a viable option here, as a sort of 'check' move just to get Ivy to stand still for a bit. It's neutral on hit and Davo knows that so his immediate response will likely be 2A or or something similar, so you can again bait a whiff with B+K or just go for your own pokes or step guard. The lack of 11K was something that Davo and I both commented on later after the tournament... 11K is a solid mid that does decent SG, gives decent frames on both hit and block and in general serves as a reasonable option at mid-range.

Other than that, yeah. 1[A] on wake is a solid option simply because there are few people willing to jump it or try and GI it, which gives you a solid mix up post-block. Just be careful not to GS too much, because Ivy's 2A can make your life troublesome and Davo has played enough NM to know what to do there. As for Ivy's ducking... I notice they like doing 2A and 4K a lot... damn TC moves.

11K is hard to buffer on the pad i find. On stick its really easy but on the pad's stick, its pretty difficult.

the only thing you did wrong was not use WS B enough

not too much though, yeah kilik is bad at dealing with WS B and NSS in general because he doesn't have a universal solution to it.

his 2A is good but slow so it beats everything out of WS B Except (A+B)

4KB beats everything out of WS B except K

IMO the best thing kilik can do is A+K, it beats everything out of WS B except fastest input Ab (which is a rare thing for NM to do from WS B, but if he does it you can fall back to 4KB and 2A again).

for GS, not so much, GS out of blocked 33B or 66K can be beaten with 6AAA.

A+K deals with GS except KK which again a rare thing for a NM player to do.

A couple more still to come when they are uploaded by Zan.

The only problem i see here is lack of 11K and the ever important 3K which is crucial versus seigfried IMO.

Good use of 22AB i like it, and you may wanna tone down the stance usage, it can be very deadly versus Sophitia/Cervantes.

the matches were decent except the one versus Ivy, i noticed he likes to use SW alot so you may wanna give him a little space, 11K 66K normal B 3K normal K 1K A:B:A all are good to use in this situation. because at close range you have no way of beating Ivy with SW specially if you stance dance alot like that.

another thing to notice about Ivy, alot of Noob Ivy players change their stance right after the round starts >>> (33B) xD

Yeah another video here from the tourney, i have little to no experience vs Maxi, i don't really know his moveset and/or his framedata, thus im not punishing correctly or accurately. And i did get hit by some stupid shit in the astaroth fight which shouldn't have happened. Also the nerves were getting to me :). C&C will be greatly appreciated for the fights. Thanks.

Engared (Red Nightmare) vs LJ (Astaroth/Maxi)

This other match is of V.star.

V.star (P2 Nightmare) vs Huck (Astaroth/Maxi)

I haven't seen any of the vids but you say you find 11K hard to buffer on pad? Seems odd problem...I haven't had difficulty on ps3 controller (unless I'm online lol). but yeah practice if you are having trouble, 11K for nightmare is like 66K for astaroth, BB for sophie, etc

I find it difficult cause i have to go from the pad's joystick to the d-pad. Im trying to use it more though.

you've been using the joystick?! if you're playing on 360 I could understand but absolutely should use d pad on ps3. *insert random hating on xbox360"

Lol, i got used to it hehe. I know its bad. Im beginning to use both though.

Wow.... too good. =D
It is sad to Simon. =(...

Sing knew so many things and setup for Nightmare. I learned a lot from his Nightmare's vids. The worst things for me are that I can't believe that he just shows some of my setups in these new vids. I think he learned them by himself. =|.....

Engared, Nice Nightmare. Thanks for these vids and your tourney vids.

Yo... the rest of the NM related vids from the tournament that tourney that Engared's been posting up about:

LG (MIT) vs Chris aka V.star (NIG) - LOSERS FINAL -
Charlie (RAP) vs Engared (NIG) -
Charlie (LIZ/MIT) vs Chris (NIG) -
Endnow (SIE) vs Chris (NIG) -

As you can see I didn't play NM in any of the matches... and don't worry, I've already been taken to task by Engared about that particular decision. Anyway, have a look. With regards to the first match, there's an interval in the middle where a rules question comes up - just fast forward that.

ok,here are some matches from jiggy agains my sophie ^^ enjoy =)there are some funny situations!

Aria Esther (Sophitia) vs Jiggy Deluxe (Nightmare) 1

LG: Engared appears to have improved a lot even though he lost to the raph. nm vs raph is hard though, he shouldn't feel too bad

Thanks guys. Any tips against Raph, Ivy and Maxi though? His prep was confusing me greatly(what to step and what not to step, it imo was the only reason why i lost). Ivy's poke game is interesting, ill need to do some frame research on it to see what is punishable, though i guess ill need to know her stances and frametraps. Maxi is just irritating lol.

That almost beats the 22k off the clip LOL.

Hey, Raph is kinda even if you ask me. Watch out for his 4b. It has a very strong TC. Whenever Raph starts doging I use 3k. Whenever he uses the stance that he can grab you, I just grab he. I look for these things...
Also, I step Raph alot. You can step just about everything he has thats useful except 2a. His AA is poop..it tracks to like one side, lol. If you can, use GS on reaction to 4b and do WS B. Its an easy RO.

Vs Ivy. I play a range game. Aga is quite useful vs her. Her close range game consist of SS/CS mixups with mids. And watch out real heavy for her clip. She gets a shitload of damage off. I think its her 22k.

Vs Maxi. I just play patiently. Use Aga at the right times. I punish him with WS B ALOT. I swear its really good in this matchup. Maxi is probably the most annoying character to go against in this game. Learning how maxi fights is something that you might need to do..cause he has alot of bullshit tricks..alot of frame traps. Maxi has a hard time dealing with B+K aswell..you can get good damage from making him whiff.
