Belial : 5/5 is too soft here because of the threat of 22B4, after all Raphael IS easily stepped (especially at 22B's range) and he really lack a good anti-step/8wayrun tool. And sadly enough for him, he has no way to compete damage-wise, I think. The match-up is not hopeless though because of 4B and 22 but still, slight advantage for Astaroth here I think =)

Babalook: No offense, but maybe you should play some offline comp. before you jump into this. While you may know quite a bit about the game, all of your experience comes from on-line. =/

well and from watching just about every offline match also i know how stuff works and socal sucks we dont have any tournies the one we were going to have got pooped on. And just cause i havent played anyone good offline doesnt mean i dont know what works and how it feels i just dont know how i would do against it.

I'm with baba here, "go get some experience" is no reasoning. Its as if he was spouting some bullshit that would take too much time to explain so you just wave your hands at him. If you think someone's hopelessly wrong just ignore him, saying stuff like "go learn" is basically trolling, however nicely put.

Knowing the technical stuff is one thing but applying FC A+B GC in high-level play is another. Will it be effective and turn towards Cervy's favour? Well at least from my experience I can do FC A+B GC consistently with the arcade stick, but it doesn't really help me much.

Besides watching offline matches is one way of observing but this type of observation doesn't beat someone being there and experiencing it for themselves; that to me is a way stronger observation because taking action has more feel to it than spectating.

So ya FC A+B GC sounds good but to test the effectiveness against high-level offline players is just theory until proven otherwise. Hopefully docvizzo, Hates, Egg and other high-level Cervy players will say about FC A+B GC's effectiveness.

Shen Yuan:
See what I wrote above about mitsu vs prep - 66BB beats everything,
does it beat a VE transition? just asking(ive never tested anything pertaining to such a horrid stance) , its like cass players saying cass shuts down prep with 2B+K, no it doesn't VE beats it clean. one thing I've noticed is, if one move beats prep,SEA,and SEB it will almost always be linear and lose to VE.

I can say 2 things about Yoshi in this matchup chart.

1. Yoshi beats Astaroth that match is 7-3 in yoshi's favor.
2. Yoshi beats Maxi as well. Thats 7-3 in yoshi's favor.

warui_ne: yes it does.

Algol – 1:9

you have experience in this match up? I thought hes banned from casuals

also belial thats pretty cool that 66BB can duck prep A. any other mids it can duck or is this a one of a kind hit box thing?

ya they stopped letting me use him in atl a long time ago, and I've only played against him 5 matches, all of which are on youtube, and I don't think I used Sophie vs RTD. So that number isn't really from experience, but I doubt it's too far off. She can't punish him for the most part (unless the Algol player is an idiot) and her BB/grab is ass in comparison to his mixups...2B+K/grab is phenomenal. It's hard for her to get in on him and when she does she's still not really at any advantage.

Here's my Maxi match-ups.

Maxi vs.

Algol: 2:8 (Maxi's worst match-up by far. Stupid algol)
Amy: 4:6
Apprentice: 5:5
Astaroth: 4:6
Cassandra: 4:6
Cervantes: 4:6
Darth Vader: 5:5
Hilde: ?? (as bad as anyones matchup with hilde, but not really any worse).
Ivy: 4:6? (haven't really played great ivy's offline so i'm not sure how bad this is)
Kilik: 3:7
Lizardman: 5:5
Mitsurugi: 5:5 maybe 4:6. Not as bad as some other 4:6's though imo.
Nightmare: 6:4 (could be wrong on this, but imo maxi's 236K just really f*%$s up nightmare)
Raphael: 5:5 maybe 6:4.
Rock: 5:5
Setsuka: 4:6
Seong Mi-Na: 6:4
Siegfried: 5:5
Sophitia: 5:5 (Sophie might have slight advantage, but not enough to justify 4:6)
Taki: 5:5
Talim: 6:4
Tira: 6:4
Voldo: 4:6 (tougher side of 4:6)
Xianghua: 4:6
Yoda: 6:4 ???
Yoshimitsu: 3:7
Yun-Seong: 6:4
Zasalamel: 5:5

Well as long as you dont do it in a stupid way it cant be a bad move that'd be like saying X's FC 3B is bad(if it was less steppable and gave advantage on gaurd and did more dmg) but this move is even better. I suggest this move as like a 3 way thing say your at advantage from whatever and you can mix your opponent up with the advantage if you think they're not going to duck you can do 1K/grab, if you think they are going to duck 3B and if your not sure what they'll do the FC GB is your best choice as long as you dont think there going to attack out of disadvantage. Also i dont think this move can be used well unless your really confortable with incorporating it into your game. And by useing it at moments were your opponent is at disadvantage you can kinda train them to be more reckless or keep being put at -13 and giveing you your SG back so your safe to turtle as much as you want. Its also probably his best step punish doing about 70 dmg, leaveing you with strong wakeup, and haveing no downside if it comes out to late.

Ok this project has to Hades and I'm gonna try to salvage it. No more of these "maybe matchups" or "lol ur characters sucks and mine is awesome." Only people who have played the matchup enough to understand risk/reward can comment. I am wiping the chart clean of guesses. Here's a basic format to follow if you wanna add your EXPERIENCED opinion on a matchup.

YOUR CHARACTER
YOUR PLAY EXPIERENCE (Tournament, casual, etc)
YOUR OPPONENT WHOM YOU CONSIDER HIGH LEVEL
THEIR CHARACTER
YOUR THOUGHTS ON THE MATCHUP
YOUR REASONS

Basically give something to back up what you say from this point on. Hopefully this chart won't fail. If you're ignorant of a matchup DO NOT comment on it.
