Because it is. It's old artwork. Daishi often posts artwork from previous games. Malice mirrors them on the Facebook page for all to see. Then people start to assume it's SCV art. It's like a game of internet telephone.

I can almost guarantee you won't see any artwork for new/returning characters until they're revealed either on soulcalibur.com or if they're sent to journalist websites. Information is very managed and scheduled these days in the game industry.

In My opinion
The most important among these 10
Taki - Mitsurugi - Voldo

Umm...
1. Siegfried - the game is named after his sword. Main good guy
2. Nightmare - uses Soul edge, main bad guy.
3. Character of choice.
Without Sieg and NM there is no Soul Calibur ergo they are the most important. Mitsurugi is a good third option - Taki is specific to mitsu and voldo is an oddball character. How are they more important?

They're all important in their own ways, because each character has a story about how they tie to it and want to destroy/use the sword(s).
Ivy's story ends stupid. Most people get/break the swords. Ivy walks away... stupid hoe. Ivy is the perfect character for her to finish in V, seeing as her IV ending ... didn't.. end. Yeah, that works, good.

She has, like, eight different blades.. It doesn't make sense to give her multiple versions of her sword, then say because ONE breaks, they all do. >.<

No, she has multiple CUSTOM blades - her true sword, Valentine was destroyed in her ending. Ergo she has no weapon.
