Hilde, Maxi, Tira and Voldo Confirmed for SC5!

A few hours ago, Daishi Odashima confirmed on his twitter that 4 characters would probably be revealed during GamesCom, in Cologne, Germany.

Probably 4 characters are going to be presented at GamesCom. Cross your fingers for your favorite character!

We now know, thanks to an exclusive video at 1UP GameVideos that Hilde, Maxi, Tira and Voldo have been confirmed for Soul Calibur 5! GamesCom hasn't officially started yet... so stay tuned for more!

I honestly never thought Maxi would return.

I just played SC4 and I noticed that these 4 characters were put together on the same line in the characters' selection, strange....

but why maxi and Hilde did not age i dont know

Well Hilde was only 18yrs in SC4 + 17yrs= 35yrs. Which is still a GREAT AGE for her fighting Style.

Maxi= Well even a 50yrs can still swing nunchucks. LOL (Im not sayin Maxi is 50yrs)

+1 for the game not being complete yet. Pretty obvious that SCV rendering won’t be worse than SCIV. Looking forward to her illustration!

the scv shot is LQ and a screencap from the trailer, plus game isn't even complete yet so even if it does look worse now there's time for improvement so i wouldn't worry about it tbh

 

Ok lol, time for my real reply. I love the dirction this is going! They are keeping a lot of strong characcters! Yes, Yes, i admit that seeing Hilde back is a bit of a shocker, but i understand why they did it. Maybe it is going to be some type of a redemption for Hilde as a character since we all know she wasnt the greatest in the fourth game. Anyway, Tira being back really isn't surprising because she is involved with Phyrra (Sp?). Voldo, i mean who doesn't like him and his...style. My only request is that they bring back Kilik and My only question is what are they going to do with Sophitia? Also, Tira looks sooooo COOL! I mean look at the white and the purple Braided pigtails?! That is just so Amazing lol! Other than that, they have proven to me that this game MUST be purchased.

I AM SOOOO SOO SOO SOO SO so so so happy. TIRA and MAXI and and VOLDO(well i knew they were going to keep him lol) and HILDE :D
And if they kept Seigfried(sp?) of course Hilde is going to be there.
Now *achem* maxi has died in almost every game and they bring him back EVERY game. I know his hair is like elvis but don't hate deep down everyone loves a lil bit of maxi ;) lol
I believe Project Soul knows exactly what they are doing and I'm just waiting for the game to come out.
However I still would like to see Talim back or at least her fighting style back. And I would also like to see kilik return as well. (and the new trio could be Leihua, Kilik and Maxi.)
Other than that I am good.

I agree with you completely! They know what they are doing now! i hope that they NEVER EVER do like what they did in soul calibur 4! Lets be honest... THIS GAME IS LOOKING SEXY!!!!!

 

Other than that, they have proven to me that this game MUST be purchased.

I just realized Tira has 3 different colors in her hair... THIS BITCH IS EMO,PSYCHOTIC, AND SEXY ALL IN ONE!!!

 

I really liked the trailer. 3 new things I noticed that I don’t think anyone has commented on (everyone is still flipping out over which characters are / aren’t announced):

1. Music! Was this trailer’s music in any previous SC games (I only know IV)? Because it sounds great. Really exciting.

2. & 3. - New stages! Hilde is fighting outside the gates of some kind of dark looking castle, with a beautiful forest in the background. Pat is fighting in a more town-like courtyard with a more traditionally medieval castle behind the gates. Cool times two.

Im not sure where the first track is from, but the 2nd is the character select theme from SC3.
