New to 8wayrun, would like some Raphael help

Close range blocked A+B to throw is possible. It helps that the low can't be jumped if the second hit is blocked. I usually get the low blocked when starting to play matches, so I start with this first. I wouldn't rely on it too much though, as you said it can be reacted to.

A+B A actually works pretty well against high level players at first, since it used to be super easy to jump and punish the last hit, but you can't do that anymore. After a few times, though, they'll start to GI the last hit.

It is pretty solid against grounded opponents, and is NCC, not too terribly slow, and 50+ damage I think, so there are times and places for it.

I'd love to play you online, just, I don't own the game (I've never owned any tournament game)

Yeah PenDragonsfall...no offense, but I don't want to play you until I've greatly improved, unless you WANT to simply help my game out.

Those Raph vs Raph matches weren't good, you completely slaughtered me, I didn't stand any chance.

If you're okay with playing someone below your skill lvl then by all means I'm game, but I can completely understand if you'd rather hunt for bigger fish. I don't take it personally because I don't play people I dominate either.

I love 6K, it's really my go-to mid. I also use 66A+B whenever I can get away with it. I don't initiate prep game very often but if I get to punish a whiff with 3B then I go for it. I also try to find ways to get SEB into the rotation. It's a lot to think about.

Amy is a hard fight but stay disciplined against her and you'll be fine. She would give many characters trouble, not just raph. You really have to learn how to play against her no matter what character you use. Most of the time when you have a hard time against the top characters it's because those characters are good, not that raph is necessarily bad.

Has anyone found a good use for 4 A+B yet? Any staple moves of others that you could use it on reaction to?

Pen...you ARE AWARE that 4 A+B can be re GI'd....right?

It may sound silly because you'd assume few people would know that...but it's only a matter of time, especially on tournament play, that the masses will all be aware of this.

No idea .. I don't think anyone even uses the move, haha. Hence why I'm asking if people use it against any staple moves, just throwing it out there. I could hardly imagine that people would be trained to GI the 4A+B, but if that happens then I won't even attempt the move. But I was wondering who actually uses it effectively?

I get 8A+B aGI off tons of times, and this move is always saving my ass from maxi/taki/talim pitbulls. Seriously, this move deserves more respect then most Raphael players give it.

4A+B on the other hand....I've yet to use this move in a serious game and actually have it aGI. Even situations where you'd think it can be utilized (non-tip ranged blocked 66A+B), I can still think of better options then to do this.....

There are places where 8A+B is fine, but 4A+B I have no reason to use.

4A+B used to be so good in SC3 but they had to mess it up i call for it to be a stance again in patch 1.04

but yeah it hasa funky GI window as well and its incredibly small not very damaging and risk reward is meh at best

To add on to what Piggy said, the last hit of A+BA is not jumpable if they block the A+B. Pretty good stuff, I say.

Stuff like 33B is also good, does good gauge dmg, hard to see as well when used in conjunction with step and 3B.
